Yomo grabbed the garbage bag he had just closed with one hand and pushed open the back door of the café with the other. Gaining momentum, he tossed the smelly black bag into the plastic bin, which was already half full. Rubbing his hands together to warm up, he was about to go inside when he saw a familiar ponytail.
Leaning against the wall, Neti was looking at her feet, lost in thought. Yomo crossed his arms and leaned against the door frame, watching his friend stare intently at the floor.
"You're thinking of the best way to apologize for the trap you set for me on Friday?" he interrupted her in her thoughts.
Surprised to hear her friend's voice, the young woman raised her head and turned it towards the student, a guilty look on her face.
"Yomo..." she said.
Quickly recovering herself, she stepped in front of him and asked with a smile:
"Are you done for the day?"
