Yomo gazed pensively into the distance. Leaning against the railing of the roof on which he had taken refuge, far from the oppressive human activity, he reflected on what Neti had just told him.

Once again, he had the impression of rediscovering the young woman. This side of her he'd never known before made him realize just how complex she was, and how much he'd misjudged her. How naive he had been to believe that she was only what she wanted to show.

Deep down, he wondered whether this was something unique to Neti or whether it was a characteristic shared by all women. A secret that made them much more in control of their environment and image than men were. Add to that observation skills far more developed than the average male, and you get a picture quite different from the ones you thought you knew like the back of your hand.
