Chapter 46 - The Sanguine Ape!
With his life on the line, LingYue channelled his blood with all he could, the roaring of a meandering river could be heard as his wounds slightly closed, limiting his blood loss.
His eyes were stern as his brows furrowed, looking at this eerie Ape like beast.
It stood tall with its hunched back, resembling a small hill as it stared downwards at him, its eyes like the entrance to the abyss as it stared down at him...
Its pale arms hung low as its knuckles were dragged through the mulch and blood, and its face tore and pulled as it opened its mouth.
Rooooaarr!!!
Its bellow shook the nearby area as the trees swung back and forth; its pressuring aura weighed heavily on LingYue's body as he looked sternly at the beast.
Its arm blurred as it swung, its palm covering the skies above LingYue, the air screeched around it as it fell!
LingYue dived as he rolled amongst the mud, the palm barely missing his battered body!
Xiao LingYue knowing this Sanguine Ape had awakened its intelligence, rose from the mud as he shouted,
" Senior!"
But the Ape beast paid him no mind, seemingly in a frenzied trance, its only aim to slaughter as it rushed forth; its knuckles slamming against the ground as it cracked beneath it!
LingYue knew it would be to no avail to try and reason with this Demonic Soldier Sanguine Ape, as he grasped his spear before rushing to meet it!
The Demonic Soldier stage was when ferocious beasts would go through a metamorphosis as they awakened their Spiritual intelligence as well as their ability to use Qi attacks similar to the Dantian Opening Stage.
But due to the restrictions placed on this Sanguine Ape, its advantages were lessened as it could only use its physical strength, though its physical strength was powerful, with its mind and spiritual intelligence restricted it posed less of a threat as it couldn't make use of its innate abilities or techniques.
The Sanguine Ape roared and swung as its fist and palms tore the trees in the vicinity in half, sending them flying as they exchanged blows!
LingYue floated amongst the attacks like a boat in a storm, dancing on the knife's edge as he knew he could not meet this Apes fist head-on!
His spear stabbed out as a spear light formed smashing against the beast's chest!

The spear had struck the beast but could not even pierce its skin as it seemed furious that its prey had retaliated, raising its arms as it swung downwards with all its might!!
LingYue rushed towards it as he slid between its legs, narrowly avoiding its blow as it crushed the stone, earth and mulch beneath it, sending them flying in all directions!
Stones and mud flew as they smashed against LingYue's body sending him flying!
His body rolled as he lurched to a stop, his wounds reopening as his body was slowly covered in blood while his Snake Shell Gu inner armour was completely destroyed from the repeated fights as scale after scale fell off his body.
His nails gripped the floor as he raised himself slowly while solemnly staring at the Sanguine Ape rushing towards him.
His body swayed as he braced himself with the spear forcing his blood to circulate!
The sounds of the meandering rivers began to rise from his body until it became a roaring noise which pulsed from him.
His heart continued as he forced it, even more, tears slowly appearing on his flesh and his heart as the restriction weighed even more heavily against him!
He roared with all his might as his claws began to elongate while his muscles tensed and flexed as they became more sturdy.
His fox fae features began to show forth as he fought against the restrictions while the Sanguine Ape rushed towards him!
His hand grasped the spear as his arm flexed, his body slightly leaning forward as a crazed look flashed through his eyes!
Blood poured from his body as it mixed with the blackened rain as it fell down his body.
Time seemed to have slowed as the sounds of the Sanguine Ape rushing towards him slowed, the sounds of its arms and feet splashing could be heard, the raindrops which fell across their bodies and onto the floor, the eerie wind that blew and the iron filled stench of blood which assaulted his nose.
His pupils dilated and he forced all his strength into this next attack as the Sanguine Ape was upon him!
Its claws swung towards him as it aimed towards his chest!
Puff!!!
LingYue leaned to avoid its claws piercing his vitals as it tore away the left side of his abdomen!
The moment LingYue moved, he had crossed the distance between him and the Ape in an instant!
The Sanguine Ape felt threatened as its heart shuddered!
Its prey suddenly became too fast!
A suffocating pressure was exuded as the baleful aura filled with murderous air drowned the Ape!
"Kill!!"
Its hair stood on end as it tried to retract its arm!
Its arm seemed so slow at this moment as the reflection of a spear could be seen enlarging within its pupils!
"Roooarrr!!!"
Its mouth opened as it roared, but that did little as the Spear continued to pierce towards its eye!
The Sanguine Ape opened its mouth as it spat out a white crystalline gourd which slammed forcefully into the spear, only to be deflected away!
Krrrrr!
The sound of flesh being pierced could be heard as the spear was trusted into the Apes eye socket!
The beast roared and screamed as it failed desperately!
LingYue's eyes narrowed as his gaze hardened, his body rushing forth with his last spurt of energy as he leapt, punching the end of the spear with all his might, sending it directly into the Apes skull!
The Ape screeched before falling into the mulch, rain falling upon its body as the lightning flashed ever so often...
LingYue lay upon its chest, his heart racing as he panted, his body currently drenched and filled with wounds...
Soon a glowing white swirl could be seen nearby, while spiritual Qi could be felt emanating from it.
The restriction weighing on LingYue soon receded like a tide as he was finally able to circulate his Demonic Qi.
Struggling to sit upright, he began to utilize his neidan as well as his Moon Lotus Mantra as he began to utilize the Blood Qi in the area to repair his injuries.
Time passed slowly as he was finally able to walk again, his cultivation even benefitted from this!
Due to the intense battle and massive amount of blood Qi, he was currently nourishing 26 meridians...
While his Demonic Demeanor Transformation Art slowly broke through to the 3rd stage.
