He initially held me by my hands and when he noticed it was uncomfortable for me he threw me up and wrapped his arms tightly around me.
We crossed the valley of illusions and went deep into the trap zone. I was marvelled at the fact that although he did not all follow the lane he knew the way.
"You are too dull human can't you bring a topic out for discussion. Do you know how it feels to be silent for several years.
"Which year is this?" He asked me.
"Twenty twenty one." I stuttered. "Twenty twenty one? Do you know how old am now? He asked looking worried.
Ok nevermind." he said dismissing the topic.
"Why did you awake me from my very enjoyable sleep." He asked me.
"I believe it will be better explained in when we get to the white village."
We said nothing to each other because I respected and feared him so much though I knew he wouldn't hurt me.
"He must be dead by now" he said aloud.
"Who I asked him
"I don't think that should bother you. Just know that you humans live a very short life" he told me.
We flew into the cave and few seconds later we were out in the village
Surprisingly to me everyone was already gathered at the ring where I was told to direct the gargoyle.
When we arrived the gargoyle threw me up so high and flew down towards the ring. And out of fear I screamed all the way down on getting closer to the ground I could not see the gargoyle at the center of the ring. I only saw a man who I thought I will fall on but when I neared the ground he shifteda bit
and caught me on his firm arms without looking up.
"A fearful man" he said as he caught me.
I stared hardly at the man. If not for his unchanged voice I would have found it difficult to believe he was the beastly gargoyle who just brought me home.
He was exceptionally handsome and charming just like the demon but while the aura around the demon was ominous and evil his own aura was divine.
For a while l was awestruck just like everyone else who were present.
The big drum was sounded three times and everyone except me fell face down and began to implore the gargoyle to assist them to battle the demons as they had been taught.
The gargoyle turned to me.
"Who told them I was the son of an archangel? You have no idea?" He replied after he probably read my thoughts which I believed he too can do.
"Yes I can." he replied my thoughts just like the demon did.
When the people finished reciting the words which they were directed by the assistant head priest to recite they all stood up probably expecting him to immediately spell out war strategies and fix a date for the war against demons but instead he turned to me with a confused look on his face.
"You called me here alone to help you fight a league of demons without the help of other gargoyles. How do you expect me to do that?"
This question of him sounded strange since I have been told a gargoyle that a gargoyle derives pleasure from killing demons even though they are numerous but out of respect and patience I replied him.
"We all are ready and at your command we attack the demons."
He ran his eyes through us all and especially the head priest who looked so frail and old heand smiled sadly.
