CHAPTER 26.

QUINN'S POV:

It's already been a week since I found out I was pregnant with Xavier's child. I was finally going to tell him today.

"You'll be fine. If his reaction isn't worth it, you can go ahead and spice things up and say it's not his." Rissa advised as I laughed.

"Thanks for helping me. What's the route again?" I asked turning on the GPS to the Lamborghini.

"It's a back road. It's faster according to what I heard. You have to be careful at the drift though. it's a steep cliff. I don't want any harm coming to you." She said.

"Aiit. See ya later and thanks again!" I yelled as I drove off. I turned on the radio and hummed along to a song titled Turbulence. "We're finally going to tell Daddy about you!" I said excitedly to my pregnant stomach. I was showing slightly so I still fit into all my clothes.

My phone rang and I picked it using the car's interface. "Nini? Where are you?" I smiled at the sound of Xavier's voice. "Hey. I'm driving to come meet you. Did Rissa text you the address?" I asked as I drove.

"Yeah she did. I was hoping I'd see you on my way." He said and I pouted. I had hoped the same.

"I took the back route. I'll be there in a few minutes. I promise." I said and looked up only to let out a piercing scream as a black van rammed into the car pushing it over the cliff.

My instincts kicked in and I immediately tried shielding my self and mostly my stomach. I couldn't let anything happen to my child. The ringing in my ears finally died out as I heard Xavier shouting.

"Nini?!! Are you okay?!!! What the fuck happened?" How was this car still on? Thank God for the designers.

I tugged at the door but it wouldn't budge. My head was bleeding and I had several cuts on me from broken glass. "Quinn!!! Say something."

I had totally forgotten he was still on the phone.

"Xavier!!! Help me!" I cried out as I smelt petroleum. This car was about to blow.

"What happened?!" How the fuck would I know?

"XAVIER!! PLEASE GET HERE AS FAST AS YOU CAN!! I'M PREGNANT!!!" I cried as tears streamed down my face.

"FUCK! I'm on my way. Hang on baby. I'm coming. Stay strong for you and our baby." He said and the line went dead. I cried out in despair.

Was this how I was going to die? it certainly wasn't what I pictured. I had imagined dying in a fabulous way leaving a legacy behind but here I was in a turned over car, locked in with no way of escape in the middle of a goddamn forest.

I definitely wasn't dying today. Again, I tried the door handle and it finally gave way as I kicked It open. I sighed in relief but the smell of leaking petroleum cut my relief short. I blinked trying to stay awake. With my head bleeding out gallons of blood, it was hard to stay awake. Yet, I had to.

I crawled out of the car with whatever strength I had left. My phone in my grasp, I made it to a safe distance and leaned against a tree exhausted. I wrapped a hand around my stomach.

"You'll be fine. Daddy's coming." I whispered.

He had better hurry. God knows what's in these woods.

I watched with drooping eyes as the car burst into flames. Wow. How could it look so Pretty?

I could've been burnt to crisp if I had stayed in there.

The faint sound of screeching tires from above forced me to keep my eyes open. At this point, I didn't know how I was still awake and breathing. I tried to sit up and realized,I probably broke one or two ribs from the skull crushing pain I just felt.

I winced at the sound of Helicopters. What were they searching for? Oh right. Me.

Just as I finally gave into the darkness, light shined on me.

Lord is that you?

I definitely wasn't ready to come home.
