Dream

And finally, my last but not least action was visiting my apartment, which somehow hadn't been cleared yet.

Inputting the code into the fancy pin, a butler for the amazing apartment I had been staying at passed by me and said,

"Hey! It's been a while, Helu! Where have you been?"

"Nothing much… have you been well?" I asked before pushing open the large door and seeing how everything was in place as always.

Nothing had moved; nothing had seemingly been touched… meaning lots of dust had collected along the walls, furniture, and floor.

"I've been doing well, but I've also been wanting to inform you that we stopped cleaning your room since you disappeared. It wasn't a decision I made, but something apparently from the higher ups… it must be because of your work, right?" The man asked, truly asking a sincere question.

"Uh… yeah, I guess. But I might have to move out of this place soon. I'm sure you heard about the death of the guild,"

"Well, why don't you try starting one of your own? You're more than powerful enough to lead a guild, and your various connections could be useful,"

Connections, huh… after hearing what I went through, I doubt any of them would be willing to take my side unless they want to put their lives and jobs in danger.

"I'll considerate. Anyway, have a good day, sir. I don't want to stop you from doing your job,"

"You're fine, honey. I'll see you sometime later, and stay safe out there. The remaining four guilds are really beginning to get tense, and if I can tell you something," the butler slowly leaned in towards me, and as I realized it was going to be important, I shielded the conversation with my back to the camera.

"Go ahead now. They won't be able to read your lips,"

"An S-rank dungeon has appeared. I'm not completely sure, but this must be part of the reason why the guilds have become so tense," He whispered, and after I slowly waved him goodbye, I slipped into my apartment and closed the door, heaving a sigh of relief.

Yeah right… that's just a cover-up for their power struggle as one of the top five guilds in this continent has died, meaning their connections, wealth, and fame are all up for the taking.

I took the dusty remote from my couch and hopped onto it just as I turned on the TV, immediately watching the news.

There wasn't anything special, and since a few weeks had already passed since the death of the reaper guild, they weren't covering any part of it.

"I need a phone," I sighed but couldn't bring myself off the couch.

The muscles that wrapped around my real body were too sore and tense for me to move anymore, so I quickly grabbed a pillow and stuffed it under my head.

But, just as I began to fall asleep, I made sure to keep my senses active at all times, just in case any slimy snake decided to slip their way in here.

"Hello, sir. We're from the Reaper guild, and we'll be frank with you… we're here to make an offer that you can't deny," My associate announced as we entered the man's office.

The sponsor, who slowly whirled around in his office chair, slowly turned towards us, his predatory eyes grazing our skin.

We were mere bugs beneath this man who had already reached the pinnacle of his class and was one of the few to actually receive a blessing from the angels of death.

"Quite the bold people he sent… okay, I'll hear you out. As long as you have the cash, I'll listen to what you say," The man replied, and just as he muttered those words, a notification rang on his phone.

He glanced over, widely grinned, and then glanced right back at us, making our muscles tense with nerves.

I felt like I was going to throw up as the image of a tiger stalked me from behind, ready to tear my neck and head to pieces.

Quickly yet carefully, we informed the man of our guild's proposal, but just because he took a liking to what we said didn't mean we had sealed the deal yet.

"You both are interesting ones… those eyes of yours. They swirl with darkness… and you… yours swirl with greed,"

"Thank you for the kind words,"

The man lightly chuckled before waving his finger, seemingly calling forth a being from another world.

"Where did she acquire that class?" The man asked as a singular ball of white light floated around him, completely fearless of the absolute monstrosity next to it.

"It's demonic power. But, it isn't something worth worrying over… she's weak… way too weak to be that of a demon lord," The ball of white shimmered once more before disappearing from existence itself.

The man smiled just a bit before opening that sly mouth of his.

"Tell me where you acquired that class, and I'll accept your deal,"

The air within the room tensed to a degree so tight that you could practically snap it in half with a simple butter knife.

"From a different dimension,"

"So… from a crack?"

"Think of it as you will," I smiled, and the man smiled back before tracing his finger along the wooden desk.

"Alright. Deal took… and you… if you ever need help with that class of yours, I'd be willing to assist you,"

"Yeah, right… you just want my class. But, unfortunately, it isn't up for grabs anymore as I had to struggle for this and eventually obtain it… and just like you, the being that granted it to me was an angel," I smiled before being teleported away, right into safety.

As soon as my associate and I hit the lounge of our office, we fell back onto the couches, sinking into them and letting the exhaustion run rampant.

"You didn't have to tell him that much,"

"Well, angels can be quite the tricky race,"

"*sigh*... what a weird dream," I muttered before downing the glass of water and immediately leaving to go find a new phone.

My head throbbed as I exited the building, as silent as a piece of paper slowly falling through the air.

"Ugh… my eyes hurt,"
