CHAPTER 4 - A Little Too Gorgeous

  Chelsea's POV;

Tears began to run down my face as I stare down at Ashley who looks like life is escaping her. I have no idea what to do...

"Can somebody help me?? "I scream in worry, and suddenly the door of the room is flung open. I turn to it and find Tracy, and her face goes pale at the sight before her.

"What happened?? "She questions as she throws her purse on the bed, and rushes up to us.

"It's an asthma attack, and her inhaler is empty. I... I don't know what to do... "I cry, and Tracy takes Ashley's head from my lap.

"Hurry to the pharmacy and get her an inhaler. I'd calm her down for now... "She says, and I stare at her in confusion. How the hell does she plan on calming Ashley down? She looks like she's about to die!

"Don't worry. I know what to do. My mom's a doctor, and she's also asthmatic. Now, hurry. She needs the inhaler. "She says to me. And with that, I grab my bag and rush back out of the room.

I race out of the hostel and stare about, but there's no school cab in sight. There's no way I can wait for one to pass. Ashley needs her inhaler now!

The pharmacy isn't too far from here... I make a run for it.

I begin a mad race in the direction of the pharmacy while praying earnestly to God that nothing bad happens to Ashley.

I look up and find the pharmacy a little distance away, but I trip over a stone and fall. I scream in pain as I land on the ground, and I hear my ankle snap. My ankle hurts badly. I think I sprained it.

"Hey, freshman. Give us your bag! "A rude, male voice says, and on looking up, I find two older-looking boys, with half of their faces covered with bandanas.

How do they know I'm a freshman?

"Didn't you hear me? "The voice questions again, and I clutch my bag tightly.

"Please... Don't do this... "I beg, as I stare up at them with fear gnawing at me. All the money on me currently, is in this bag. If I give it to them, I'd have nothing left on me to get Ashley's inhaler. I can't let that happen...

"Don't mess with us! Don't make us hurt you to get the bag. We suggest you give us the bag and leave unhurt... "The second speaks, and I gulp.

This place is dark. They can indeed do anything to me, and no one would notice... "Please understand... I can't give you the bag... Please... "I beg, and they share a look.

"Do we look like we care to negotiate? Give it! "The second male barks before launching at me and beginning to drag my bag from me.

I tighten my grip on the bag as I try to make them understand that I can't leave the bag, and this leads to a struggle. He suddenly throws a heavy slap across my face, and I feel my lip burst.

I shut my eyes as I whimper in pain, but I suddenly realize that he's let go of me. They're no longer trying to take my bag from me, nor talking...

I look up at them and find them staring at something behind me in fear.

"Scram... "A deep voice says from behind me, and in less than a second, the two boys run off.

I turn around, and on looking up, I find the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my entire life, staring back down at me with an intriguing pair of golden-brown eyes. Eyes so perfect, they seem... Surreal...

"Are you okay? "The unknown male questions and I gulp as he makes his way to my front.

"I... I guess so... "I reply, and silence follows as I run my tongue over the cut I just acquired on the right side of my lower lip.

"Is that bag more important than your life? "He questions in an accent I'm just realizing. It sounds foreign and totally beautiful. But I can't place it.

"No... It's just... My roommate is currently suffering an asthma attack, and the money I have to get her an inhale in this bag. "I reply as I look away, and silence follows. I try to stand, but the pain from my ankle sends me back to the ground with a shriek.

"Are you alright? "The stranger questions and I shake my head in negation.

"No. I... I think I sprained my ankle... This is not good. Time is not on my side... "I reply, and I can't stop my tears from falling.

I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if anything happens to Ashley...

"Hey... Hey... It's okay. I'd help you... "The stranger replies, and I look up at him in awe. Why does he want to help? And... Why did those guys look so scared of him? I mean, there's just one of him, and there were two of them...

  Why did they run? Who is this boy? Asher's POV;

I had seen this girl earlier today. I saw her at the coffee shop this morning. She looked pissed and lost in thoughts.

This morning was the first time I'd ever set eyes on her, but something about her was just so... Magnetic.

She's small in stature, but there's this thing to her that's... Inviting. She looks... Perfect. Even a little too perfect.

From the distance she was, I could see her eyes. Her electric green eyes had tints of black around them, and she had perfect cupid's bow lips.

She's beautiful, to say the least. Seeing her in the little flowery dress she wore this morning, she gave off this aura of sweet innocence. An innocence that I for some reason find... Alluring.

And seeing her right now in the same dress. Being so helpless and in need of a hero... The urge to step in and be the hero is one I can't fight.

I was walking over to the pharmacy to get my pills, when I spotted those two good for nothing, trying to rob her.

She currently seems to be in pain. Like something is wrong with her ankle. "Are you alright? "I question in worry, and she shakes her head to say no.

"No. I... I think I sprained my ankle... This is not good. Time is not on my side... "She replies, and instantly, tears start escaping her eyes.

This roommate must really mean a lot to her...

“Hey... Hey... It's okay. I'd help you... "I say to calm her down, and she looks up at me with surprise in her eyes.

What? Has the world become so bad that it's surprising for an absolute stranger to offer help to someone he sees needs it?

"Come on... "I say to her as I hold out a hand, and she stares at me for a few seconds before making up her mind.

She takes my hand, and I pull her up. Causing her to crash into me, but I hold her firmly by the waist at my side, to keep her up.

We make it to the pharmacy, and she purchases an inhaler.

On seeing her hurting leg, the pharmacist can't help but question. "Don't you want to get that looked at? "

But the girl shakes her head in disagreement.

"I'd come back later. I... I have somewhere else to be right now... "She replies, and I stare at her in amusement at how selfless she is.

She's clearly hurting badly, but her worry for her roommate isn't letting her attend to her pains. I came to get my pills, but that can wait. I don't want to waste any more of her time.

On getting out of the pharmacy, we spot a school cab at a distance, and she flags it down.

"Thank you very much... "She says to me as the cab comes to a halt before us, but I remain silent as I let go of her.

I watch her limp towards the cab, and before she gets in, I hear her say to him. "Prestige female hostel... "

  That must be her hostel.

I stand in silence as the cab zooms off with her staring at me through the window. Once the cab is out of sight, I look down at the hand I used to hold her up against me, and a surge flows through me.

She felt so perfect in my grip. Tender and fragile. I like how she felt... It's different. Different and interesting...

  Who is she?

She's clearly a freshman. Only a freshman wouldn't know that walking these paths so late at night would be dangerous.

I didn't even get her name. She's gorgeous though... A little too gorgeous…
