CHAPTER 6 - First party

  Chelsea's POV;

"Don't tell me that's what you're wearing... "Ashley speaks from her bed, and I turn to her in confusion.

"What? You don't like it? It's one of my best dresses. I wore it to church once for Thanksgiving and everyone kept telling me how nice I looked... "I begin, but Tracy cuts me off.

"Exactly... Church. "She says, holding up a finger, as if trying to point out to word, and I stare at her blankly.

"Being the keyword... "Ashley interjects, and I look over at her again, and she gives me a side pout.

"Does a frat party really sound like a place a church dress should be worn to? "She questions and I turn back to look at myself in my mirror.

My dress is a cute light blue dress my mom got for me last year. It stops right on my knees and isn't fitted. It's free but still pretty. It has red and yellow flower embroideries on its left side.

Coming from the bottom, all the way to my right shoulder.

It then has short sleeves that are halfway down my forearms.

"Here, lemme look for something you can wear... "Tracy says, walking over to her locker, and my jaw drops.

"What? "I question, and she keeps searching her locker.

"Don't worry. We're not really that different in stature. I should have something that would fit you. "She speaks, and I look over at Ashley with wide eyes, and she snickers.

My issue isn't that I fear Tracy's clothes won't size me. My fear is that Tracy dresses in ways that leave very little to the imagination. I don't think she'd have anything I'd find decent enough to wear!

She pulls out a heap of folded, black clothes, and I stare at her in uncertainty. "Just try it... "She says, and I say a quick prayer to God before taking the clothes.

She sits on her bed, and I walk over to mine. There's no shame in changing in front of the girls. Ashley and Tracy change in here all the time. Sometimes, Ashley walks around in her pants and bra, while Tracy doesn't mind Staying in just her underwear.

But for me, I'm... Not very... Comfortable with my body. Not like they are. So, I don't like people staring at my body. I open my locker door and shove myself between the opened doors, and Ashley and Tracy chuckle.

What I'm doing is ridiculous as Ashley would still be able to see me if she leans over to my side, while still on her bed, but thankfully she doesn't.

I help myself into the clothes Tracy gave me, and on looking down at my legs, my stomach flops. The skirt is several inches up my thigh and the rest of my skin is covered by very transparent net stockings. The top is a crop top that reveals a lot of my boobs, and I don't like it.

I step out from between the doors, and Ashley gasps while Tracy's jaw drops. But as soon as I speak, disappointment clouds their faces.

  "I can't wear this... "I confess.

"Why not?? " Ashley whines, and I stare at her.

"It's... Uncomfortable... "I reply as I tug at the hem of the skirt, wishing it was longer. "And sooo not my style... "I add as I sight my reflection in the mirror.

"First off, you look fire in that outfit, but if you don't want it, I can get you something else to wear. "Tracy speaks before getting up and walking over to her locker, while I sit on my bed.

After a few seconds of searching, she pulls out another black cloth and smiles at me.

"I'm sure you'd love this one. " She says, and I resist the urge to roll my eyes before taking the dress from her. I make it back to my corner, and pull the clothes I'm currently wearing off.

I throw on the dress, and its length is better than the last one. Sure, it's above my knees, but not too much. Its top is covered with black lace, and its long hands are made of the same lace.

The skirt of the little dress is made of dark net. It's goth, but I... Actually like it.

I step out of my corner again, and Ashley's jaw drops while Tracy squeals and claps. "I knew it would look good on you! "She exclaims, and I turn to my mirror.

The dress shoes quite a lot of cleavage, and the lace is doing a fairly bad job at hiding it. I guess that was the intention behind the design.

I turn to Ashley and she quickly takes a picture.

"You look like some goth Disney princess! "She squeals, and I chuckle.

"I think I like this one... "I say to Tracy and she clasps and chuckles with a Yay!

Despite all her pleas for me to wear make-up and for her to do my hair, I disagree. It's not like I'm going on some date or something...

I simply pack my hair into a ponytail, throw on my black kicks and the only thing I take from her is the black choker she gives me.

Staring at my reflection again, I feel pleased. I look goth, and not like the little church kid I've been for most of my life. I look a bit rebellious, but... I like it.

  ******

Tracy and I finally get to the frat house after what seemed like thirty minutes of driving, and as we get down from the cab, my jaw drops in awe at the sight of the house.

The frat house is a massive duplex with swarms of people outside it. I can only imagine the crowd that's inside. The thought of it alone sends shivers down my spine. But I can't be a chicken now. That won't be nice to Tracy.

"Come on. "Tracy says. Grabbing my hand and pulling me into the house, and I follow like a little child following after her mom.

As I guessed, the place is indeed madly populated. There's music playing at a fair volume, but the noise of what seems to be hundreds of people chattering has taken over the house.

Tracy keeps pulling me through the house, and we keep bumping into people. We finally make it to the back of the house, and there's a pool! A frat house with a pool! That's new information...

This place isn't as populated as the inside or front of the house.

"Hey, guys!! "Tracy suddenly yells, and I almost jump in fright. I look at her and find her waving to some people who are sitting in a circle, close to the pool, they wave back and Tracy turns to me. Making her grip on my hand firm again.

"Come on... "She says, and I gulp and nod as we walk over to the people.

"Hey, guys! This is my roommate. Chelsea. "Tracy introduces me, and they all wave at me. "Sup Chelsea. "

  "Hey, Chelsea. " "Hey. "

  "Sup. "

They greet me, and I simply smile. They are about five in number, but I don't have the guts to look up at them. I don't do too well with crowds. Whenever I had presentations in church and had to talk in front of the congregation, I'd spend weeks practicing with my mirror, and my mom and Trevor would also help. But now, with my peers and out of the church setting, I feel like a big goof and I only pray that I don't do something embarrassing.

"This is Ted, this is Milo, this is Zane, this is Asher, and this is Vivian. "Tray introduces her friends and I only watch from under my lashes, smiling.

"It looks like your friend is shy... "A female voice speaks, and I can sense a bit of mockery in the voice.

"Oh, she doesn't really like parties... "Tracy speaks for me, and she whispers to me. "It's okay Chelsea. They're cool guys. "

I smile and decide to look up, but on looking up, my gaze gets locked with familiar eyes. I freeze as I stare at him. He's the same boy that saved me from those robbers two nights ago and helped me to get Ashley's inhaler.
