Kindred's Point Of View
We are here now in one of the libraries, Manuever is taking a book so Zenith left us here. She looks bored and fun to watch.
"Woah! How many books they have in here?" I admire the place, it's very spacious and half of it is the floor.
Everywhere I look I see books.
"About 416,278…" I heard Zenith say while looking at the globe.
Did she count all the books?
"You counted them all? Cool."
"Estimated," she corrected.
Oh, that's right.
"Not bad at estimating, Ms. Aspen," said Manuever who had just arrived while carrying the books.
"Why?" I will ask.
"Because it's actually right. Except for the books that aren't here and the ones I'm carrying, but then? The remaining books inside this library are 416,278. You must be really good in Math, Ms. Aspen," he replied.
That's great estimating ah? I am, I thought more than a million.
"Cut off the Ms. Aspen, it's just Zenith. And for your information? I hate math," Zenith said seriously.
"Really? That's too bad. Anyway, here are your books… five for each of you." He reached out to us, I took mine but Zenith didn't take it.
"I'm not here to get books," she said, Manuever looked at me so I just nodded.
"And why is that?" he asked her.
"Sort of I never used books, I'm used to it," Zenith replied.
"Very well, if you ever need one? Feel free to come to me," Manuever said but Zenith didn't say a word.
"Yeah? Totally… she'll do that. Thanks man," I said as Zenith said.
"No problem, it's my job. Maybe you two agreed and Zenith even accompanied you here?"
"Looks like… that's it," I said.
"I hope I can work with you together on this coming months. It's my pleasure if that day happens," he said meaningfully.
I just smiled and turned to Zenith who stood up and then walked away.
I confronted Manuever. "Us too, see you around," I said then followed Zenith.
Man, this woman really get easily pissed off out of something. It's hard to read that, hmm. When we returned to class, everyone seemed stunned but Zenith ignored that and then went straight to sit down so I shrugged and went to my seat.
"I hope both of you are now satisfi — wait, Ms. Aspen, why don't you have any books on your table?" Mr. Grind's attention are here, we all stared at them.
"I didn't take?" a dead malicious promise of Zenith.
"What?! And why is that? I hope you don't just go with Mr. Rezilla," Professor said.
"I don't use books, I hope you asked earlier if I'll take it, right?" we were all surprised at her response.
It's not a rude tone but it's still rude.
"What?! Tss. What else can I expect from you? You didn't even know the word, respect," Professor stressed.
"That's just for people who have to be respected and from the very beginning, you didn't belong there. You still have a lot to expect from me that isn't inspired by what you want to happen," she said with a poker face.
"Unbelievable, Ms. Aspen. I really don't know what Palm and Queen saw in you."
"Potential, strange potential… Mr. Grind."
"Really, huh? As far as I know, you only know murder." suddenly the tension between them changed.
"Then hopefully, you're being bullied? Tss. If you're still mad at what I did before, I can't do anything about it. I'm not the only one at fault there so I won't apologize, unless you really want to buried," Zenith's serious drone.
Her face is getting dark again so it's dangerous.
"Professor! Where did you stop?" I already enter their intense conversation.
Gladly, I grabbed their attention.
"Oh yeah, aren't you oral?" it's a good thing that one of my classmates ride it.
"What are you asking us again? We forgot, Professor," added another.
I lay down loosely and the tension between the two of them disappeared.
"Yeah right, and none of you answered that! Why don't we have the two new students? It's like I can see if you're going to throw something out of the lessons and it's not just about fighting…" I feel like Zenith is still the he hits but he just doesn't have it.
"What is Information Literacy?" Professor asked, damn! I haven’t read the whole book yet so that wasn’t recorded in my brain.
"You don't know? Psh! What a waste, one of the qualities that a warrior must have is being intelligence and having a brain. What's the use of you being stupid when you're on a mission or a fight?" reason of the Professor.
Zenith suddenly stood up. “It is the ability to recognize when information is needed and to locate, evaluate, effectively use and communicate information in various formats… that is Information Literacy,” she said and also sat down immediately as most of us couldn’t believe it.
"Impressive, that's why you have the strength to brag, Ms. Aspen?"
"Where's the brag in there?" Professor was slightly taken aback by what she asked.
He was obviously blocked…
"Very well, other literacy? Enumerate and Identification," challenged Mr. Grind.
Zenith smiled. "Technology Literacy is the ability to use digital technology, communication tools or network to locate, evaluate use and create information. Media Literacy is the ability to read, analyze, evaluate and produce communication in a variety of media forms. Maybe you also like Evolution of Traditional to new media? "
I thought she hated books? Where the freaking hell did she get all of that stuff ?! Geez. She didn't even stutter or have difficulty with any words.
"No thanks, you know a lot but I hope you do the same in Earth Science and Basic Mathematics, Ms. Aspen. We'll be together all afternoon," Professor Grind said but Zenith didn't say a word and sighed-ob flesh.
It's gonna be a long day for all of us, hayst!
