CHAPTER 38

  Rhimean's Point Of View

Half an hour ago but still no one gets tired of them, these kids really are amazing. The Warriors Ten have really improved a lot since Zenith came here even though Kindred is affected by their rapid development. I'm sure after this training, they are ready for another mission specially the two new comers. It's less than three months but they can keep up with the Warriors Ten.

"Rhimean, why didn't you tell us about their training? You, you want to do solo jus because, you're the Chief. Have you forgotten that we're also officers?" I heard the opening of the newly arrived Chester and Palm.

They both stopped on either side of me. "How are you? What happened?"

"It's been an hour since they started but you see, they're still very agile and fast and don't seem to be out of breath or tired yet," I replied to Palm who I knew was focused on Zenith.

"Mmm … they have too much stamina," Chester said.

I didn't speak anymore and just focused on their fight. The top three of us were seated as we watched them below, just as the agreement had been reached, they didn’t include Reminisce and Reme and the nine of them against Zenith. She is impressive because she can be able to fight against nine even just one. He also has a different speed in avoiding opponent's attacks, its a rare potential and I'm sure he did an intense training when he was younger.

After all, she is the highest assassin of their family so she must possess unique speed, strength, and thinking. Also qualities that should be seen in a warriors, now I can barely see why the prophecy believes that she’s going to be the ultimate warrior. She has the ability to make it happen.

"Rhimean, why do I think Zenith is the only one fighting the others?" Palm had already noticed what was happening.

When I looked at her, she was already facing me with a look of astonishment on her face. "That's right, this training is nine against one," I replied to her surprise.

"Huh? Did you think of that?" trace in her the concern and desire to punish me by chance.

I immediately refused, "No, I'm not. They thought of that! I don't know, they just told me when Kindred and I met them earlier. Why me right away?"

"And you allowed it? I already said it, Rhimean!"

  "Why?" I sighed.

"Aish! Get ready for me later …" she sternly threatened.

What did I do? I'm the one to blame for this Palm. I'll just run later when their training ends right away. I'm the bad guy again.

I looked at Chester because I heard him calling softly and I was right, his hand covering his mouth to soften his laughter. Tsk!

I just looked at him and then just warned the fighter.

It's been over an hour but their every move is still not slowing down instead it is getting faster especially Zenith's movements. I could hardly follow their every encounter and I could only see shadows.

They’ve been taking so long and I think they’ re fast enough for opponents. They need to focus on different things, each unique ability to make them even stronger.

"Everyone!" I called out to them so loudly that they stopped at once to look around at where I was.

I was swallowed up because they were like wild animals that were restrained from eating and not satisfied with hunger.

"A-Ahmm, in-enough hours of training … m-you did well," I said and still stuttered.

None of their own looked at them and moved away from each other. They seem to be waiting for me to say something.

"You have impressed me … congratulations to all of you, you are done with the general training and from now on you should focus on your own abilities and powers to be better qualified to pass. Now you can rest," I said at length.

They walked and quietly went to the corners to lean, you could feel the sadness and disgrace they even beat a child who was prevented from playing and doing what he wanted.

"You're dead, Rhimean …" I heard Chester tease, I just stared at him to stop.

"Stop me Chester and you'll see who's torn between the two of us. Let's go down and talk to them face to face," I insisted to them.

I could see out of the corner of my eye that Palm was shocked and faced me. "Are you sure about that? With their reactions it doesn't seem good to come near you, Rhimean."

"Can I? For once, don't lead me. They also need to rest so I did the right thing," I reasoned to the two.

They both sighed. "Okay, you take care."

Eventually we climbed the ladder to get down. They all looked at us and then we settled down. "Come all of you …"

  They walked lazily towards us.

  "Why, Chief?" they asked.

I smiled. "You have made great progress, it is painful to admit but I believe you will be a good organization especially in the coming missions."

  Questions filled their faces.

"Kindred and Zenith, what do you think about joining Warrior's Ten? Your bond is so good and it would be better if you're in a group, right?" I explained.

"I don't agree with that. I'm not used to being accompanied by acting, I prefer to be alone," Zenith said immediately.

"I'm also the Chief, I don't have a complaint with your suggestion but the Warrior's Ten are always just a handful, if Zenith and I are still with them, doesn't it seem unfair to them because something needs to be removed? Thank you but I'm not willing," Kindred said.

I smiled then nodded. "I understand, but I still look forward to your cooperation with them once you are given the mission."

"This is the last time I will say this and I don't want to say it again. I don't depend on others because I can do it alone," Zenith said seriously then walked away.

I’m not done with her yet. I immediately deal with the rest. "You can now go, your training is over. I still have something to talk to Zenith …"

  Then it quickly followed.

"Zenith!" I called to her but she still kept walking.

I'm sure she listened to me, she just ignored me. Aishhh!

I accelerated my pace to catch up with her. "Zenith"

I gasped blocking in front of her so she was just wondering looking at me. Thank you … "What else do you want, huh?" she asked irritably.

I took enough air first before I replied, "You plan to fight the dear queen, don't you? Now that you have passed … I suggest not to and develop your power first. You have to control whatever your power is first . "

  "And you're saying this because?"

I was also shocked at myself, why is that?

"Now I just realized what Palm means about your potential, your hard work will be wasted when you face Queen Genesis right away. She is beyond you think, she is the third strongest in their generation and her strength is no joke," maybe that's why I'm telling her all of this.

"What now? What we talked about is that just after the training she will agree to fight against me, you will not be there whether I beat her or not. What matters is her life …"

I was stunned by what she said. "S-Are you really serious about chasing her life?"

"What did I say? Tsk! If you have nothing else to say, stay away from where I'm going" she said coldly.

This is not yet the right time for her to face the dear queen. I'm sure that when she found out all our hard work would be wasted.

  It's now or never.

"If you really want to fight against Queen Genesis you have to go through me first. Defeat me in a fight first, Zenith …"

"What went into your brain and made you think of challenging me? You think that I would accept your challenge, tss."

"It's for your own benefits, Zenith. I'm not forcing you but I'm telling you, you have no hope in the queen if you don't use your power. Think of it first before you decide, I'll wait," I insisted to her, this that was really the only way to help her.

I heard her exhale and then put her hand on my shoulder. "All right, let me think. Maybe one night is enough so tomorrow you'll get my answer, goodbye."

  Then I was passed out.
