CHAPTER 53

  Vior's Point Of View

When the plane landed on the very land owned by Warriors Academy, I immediately saw Queen Genesis waiting for us.

Like what I said to Manuever. They included Reme for the several damages. Everything happened so fast when I found Zenith in that cursed place …

I found her in a fog and it seemed like something had happened before I could arrive. Has she been here before?

"Zenith … we have been looking for you in the whole island. What happened?" She was staring at me in amazement. I approached her and lifted her up.

"I'm so worried. Did you know I lost myself just to find you after that storm? I promised you that I wouldn't let you disappear but I didn't fulfill."

Her face remained sunk into my chest, I lifted her back.

  "I'm sorry, Zenith …"

"You don't have to. You haven't done anything bad to me. Vior, you need to get out of this place.

It's not safe here if you stay a few more minutes." I looked at her face but her hair covered it. "Don't worry. I'll get us out of here," I said then continued to walk back to where we all met.

When I returned to the beach where we left the ship. I wondered why no ship opened up to us. I didn't see it anywhere.

It has to be here. Where is that ship, now?

"Why are we here? It's dangerous here, Vior. Where are the others?" she asked, obviously have a concern with the others.

There is something wrong. I'm sure that our ship is just right here, I can't go wrong.

"Zenith, just hang in there. Let's just wait for Tremendous and others just in case they have something to do with where the ship is," I said as I reflected on the ocean just in case it was just too far away.

"What are you doing?" I asked her as she tried to get down.

She released her grip on my neck and lowered her foot to the sand.

"I can handle myself, you don't have to treat me like this. If your friends haven't returned in five minutes, I'll look for them. They must be here already or else something bad will happen to them."

She's right. I also remember my friends not just her but in her current condition it looks like nothing is in the right mood, her face is puzzled by something.

"Can I know how you got here when you were supposed to be in the ship with us?" I asked, breaking the silence.

We were sitting in the water then I turned to her and seemed to be deep in thought. "Did something happen before I found you?" I asked but she still did not answer.

She doesn't want to tell stories. She doesn't want me to know what's on her mind. She came back again as Zenith who has a big wall beside her. It is impossible to climb a similar one because of the thorns placed on it.

In that kind of state. The connection between the two of us is back to zero. I can't let that happen because I really hate that feeling when I'm just at her side but she seemed to be far away from me.

Too far I can no longer reach. I can no longer chase and I can no longer get her. She suddenly stood up so I just looked at her.

She first rubbed what she was wearing because of the sand sticking to it. "It's been five minutes and none of your friends have returned. It's only a matter of time and it's impossible to really get out of this place."

"I'm coming …" I said then stood up and shook my body.

But her words stop me. "You're staying here. If something bad ever happens to you, I can't forgive myself. We shouldn't be here in the first place."

It was the first time I heard those words from her and it really hits me deep inside my heart. She's concerned about me.

"Don't worry, I won't let them touch you here. I'll be back as soon as I get your friends …" she

  said.

My eyes rolled as some electricity came out of her leg. I just saw it now ah and it wasn't her power when she and Chief Rhimean fought.

"Zenith …" I anxiously call her because of that excessive amount of electricity and it has reached her knees. Very different from the electricity I put out.

Her cold eyes turned to me. "Ten minutes. Start counting when I leave, during that time. I'll find them and bring them back."

I would have wanted to stop her because of the intensity of the electricity wrapping around her lower body. I know when it's dangerous when your electricity is red, that means she's desperate. It will consume great amount of energy to achieve that kind of voltage. I'm sure that if she uses it too much, it can do a lot of damage to her body. She will burn.

I would have chased her but I couldn't seem to move where I was standing, my feet were already cemented in the sand. She left as fast as lightning and disappeared from my sight.

Zenith, when you go beyond that ten minutes you may not be able to walk anymore because of what you bet.

And after that, what I said came true because she passed fifteen minutes and she touched her body.

She did return with my friends but in return she burned her lower body. And it doesn’t end there because they told Widow to me that it was Zenith herself who confronted the unknown creatures that had been following us before.

"Uno … come on, let's go," Manuever said to me.

I smiled bitterly at him and then stood up carrying Zenith while the others were also supported due to their injuries.

It was okay when we got stuck in that cursed place when Zenith almost used her energy beyond the limit of her body just to make sure we got stuck. I can't help her because my power in that area is void.

I feel so useless to see Zenith doing everything just so we can all come back. She didn't just say anything but when we reached back to Italy she had lost consciousness and hadn't woken up yet.

She has proven that she deserves to be a warrior. Not obvious but she is really willing to give her life for others.

When we got down, Ms. Palm immediately approached us and was shocked at the sight. "W-What happened?" they asked incredulously.

The others stepped aside to give me a way to get to Reme.

"Zenith!" Ms. Palm dressed up in tears when she saw its condition.

I just went down my face to hide my emotions, I wanted to cry.

"Oh god! What happened to her body?!" Queen Genesis exclaimed so I became even more emotional and embarrassed.

Every time I see Zenith’s burnt skin I feel my heart being broken not just into pieces but its finely crushed.

Ms. Palm was holding Zenith's gentle face and also hovered over the part of her body that was burned due to the intensity of the voltage released.

"How did this happen? Huh! Tell me! Uno? Why did you let this happen?! Why did Zenith suffer so much? Why?!" loss of Ms. Palm, I couldn’t help but cry because of the situation. She really treasure Zenith.

"Why is no one talking to any of you?!" she scolded us, like a mother who has lost a child.

"We're sorry, Ms. Palm … Zenith … She saved us all from that island. She didn't leave us alone, we owe her a lot!" eventually Jewel just cried.

Zenith took me by force, I was no longer able to fight for her to stay in my arms. I feel this way again. I didn't deserve her, I shouldn't stay by her side if I couldn't protect her.

Ms. Palm landed Zenith's body on the ground and called Reme.

"Do everything to heal her. Please, heal all her burnt skin and her body. Reme, I'm begging you …" she pleaded while still crying.

Queen Genesis came over here and greeted, "Palm … she's going to be fine."

We were shocked by the violent removal of Ms. Palm the queen's hand on her shoulder. "I'll bring her back to them … she's leaving."

I looked at her in shock. Ms. Palm, she just got serious and you can see that she really is hurt. She cried more. "Zenith, doesn't deserve any of this. I'll bring her back."

"Maybe she's really meant to be the supreme of all the assassin …"
