CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

　　It was the beginning of a brand new day, Annie had already arrived at the office as early as she could. Over the past few days, she had tried to avoid both Damien and Robert. Though she still went to see her therapist if need be, she was discreet during her sessions and made sure there was no diversion of any sort. She wasn't going to allow herself to be used as a tool to get back at each other.

　　At the office too, she was unusually quiet and won't say a word until she was asked to. She became distant from everyone including Esme who noticed it as well. Damien too noticed her unusual calmness but wasn't concerned about it. He still had her trailed by Thomas every single day.

　　Annie sat at her desk pondering, she recalled what Naomi had said to her after narrating the ordeal at the restaurant during her last lunch date with the therapist. Naomi had been too surprised when she told her everything.
