CHAPTER FORTY FOUR

　　The next day, two SUVs pulled up in Annie's driveway. One was driven by Thomas with Damien seated in the backseat while the other was driven by Annie's guards.

　　"Ladies! I see you're all packed up and ready for your flight," Damien said with a smile. He seemed to be more excited about their little vacation than they were.

　　"I thought you said Thomas would be the one to take us to the airport, why are you here?" Annie asked.

　　"I wanted to see you off myself," Damien smirked.

　　Annie's guard climbed out of the other SUV and walked towards Annie. She groaned in frustration when she saw them.

　　"Who are they?" Naomi whispered.

　　"Those are the bodyguards Damien assigned to keep me safe," Annie answered.

　　"Bodyguards? What for? Is there something going on that I'm not aware of? Keep you safe from what and who?"
