running up to the group of doctors who are anxiously waiting for the ambulance to show up.

"Car versus truck. That's all we know." Owen responded. Callie and Arizona were on their way out to spend some quality alone time when their car was hit by a truck. Their injuries are unknown to the group.

"And her injuries?" Mark turned to look at Owen, "What—the baby?"

"We don't know yet." Derek chimed in.

"Well, why the—why the hell don't you know? Someone get me a trauma gown."

"Mark, you need to sit this one out." Webber commented.

"I'm not sitting this one out. That's Callie. That's my kid." Mark refused.

"Which is why you can't." Webber tried to explain, "I'm sorry, you can't be a doctor on this one."

"Screw you."

"Mark." Allison softly called out for his name.

"Screw all of you."

Webber faced Mark as Mark put on a yellow trauma gown, "Look at me, Sloan, look at me. Maybe I don't understand what you two have, how you have it, but I understand this, she is your family. Callie Torres and that baby are your family, and the best way to help your family is to step back and let the rest of us do what you can't rationally—save their lives. Okay?"

Marks eyes looked everywhere until Derek and Allison spoke up to him, "Mark."

"I'm in the room, you hear me?" Mark said, "I'm in the room."

Dr. Webber nodded, "Okay." The ambulance arrived and parked as the doctors walked forward, "Hunt, you're in charge."

"All right, everyone." Owen ran forward, opening the back of the ambulance, "Multiple blunt trauma protocol. Let's go."

"Tachycardic and hypotensive en route." Arizona walked out of the ambulance, "Obvious head and chest injuries."

"Callie? Callie. We've got you, you hear me? Everything is gonna be okay."

"C.T. shows a large epidural and subdural." Allison looked at the scans.

"I need to get in there." Derek nodded at the anesthesiologist, "Is she under?"

Knox nodded, "We're ready for you."

"All right." Derek looked at the scrub nurse, "I'm going in. I need a 10-bladed. Bipolar to Dr. Carter."

"Bovie." Bailey nodded at a scrub nurse as Lexie sat down next to Callie.

"Wait." Lexie spoke up seeing Callie's eyes flicker, "Wait. Stop. Her anesthesia's too light."

"Oh, I can fix that." Knox got up from his chair and adjusted the anesthesia.

"Damn it, Knox." Derek sighed.

"We're on the run here."

"People." Webber spoke up, grabbing the attention of everybody in the O.R.

"Take a breath, everybody." Owen advised, "I mean it, stop what you're doing and every one of you take a breath and center yourself. There's no room for rushing here. We rush, we make a mistake, so everybody, take a breath."

The doctors took a breath hoping Callie Torres and the baby would survive.

After Lexie whispered assuring statements to Callie, Derek spoke up, "Someone needs to keep an eye on Mark."

Webber looked at Lexie, "Alright then, Little Grey, eyes on Sloan."

"Yesterday we were at her stupid baby shower." Cristina shook her head as she, Meredith, Alex and Allison stood in the hall, watching the attendings all argue in another room about how to treat Callie. Even Addison was there, having been called in by Webber.

"I'm scared for her." Allison spoke, "We're all scared for her."

"I take it back." Meredith looked at Cristina, "You can be Callie's baby's godmother."

"If there's a baby to godmother." Alex commented, causing the girls to look up at him, "The only way to save the baby is to save Callie, and the only way to save Callie might end up killing the baby."

Allison eyes traveled to Alex's neck, "You've got a hickey on your neck."

"What?" Cristina asked as she and Meredith looked at Alex's neck, and there was a hickey, "Oh. Oh. Oh, Karev's turning all red. Are you in love? Are you a lover?"

"Shut up." Alex shook his head.

"Lover." Cristina repeated as she smirked.

"Shut up." Alex laughed causing Meredith and Allison to chuckle along with him.

"Lucy is the first girl that he's really liked since—" Meredith pointed out but was interrupted by Alex.

"Big deal." He rolled his eyes as he spoke, "She works here at Seattle Grace Mercy Death, so I'm sure she's pretty much gonna go crazy or get cancer or shot by a gunman or hit by a truck. So don't get your hopes up for Karev's big happily ever after."

"Seattle Grace Mercy Death." Allison softly chuckled as she shook her head.

"He's got a point." Meredith sighed. The four residents look back at the room where the attending stood arguing.

The O.R. was filled with every attending and every resident, as they got ready to work on Callie.

"Slowly push the heparin." Teddy nodded at the nurse.

Allison eyes were trailed on the I.V. The second she saw blood she informed Derek, "We've got blood!"

"Damn it." Derek sighed, getting up quickly with Allison as they rushed over to Callie, "We gotta get back in."

"It's the heparin." Cristina said, "Dr. Altman, we can still do the percutaneous repair. It'll work. I know it will."

"Dr. Yang," Teddy reminded, "the decision's already made."

"Get me more lap pads." Bailey told the scrub nurse, "Got a lot of bleeding down here."

"They baby's having decels." Addison informed the group, since he arrived to Seattle to help with Callie and her baby.

"This is not working." Owen sighed, nodding at Cristina, "Yang is right. We need to reverse the heparin and try the percutaneous repair."

"What?" Teddy shook her head, "No."

"Get me a percutaneous catheter kit." Cristina yelled out, rushing to Callie's bottom half to start the procedure.

"I can do this." Teddy assured, "I just need—damn it."

"Flip on the eco." Cristina announced, "I am going up through the groin."

"No." Teddy denied, "I said I've got this."

"Dr. Altman," Owen instructed Teddy, "stabilize the heart and step back."

"No. I can get it, I just need to—damn it."

"Dr. Altman." Webber tried to get her attention, but she continued to work ignoring the man, "Dr. Altman." Webber spoke once more, "Dr. Altman, step away."

Teddy stared at the Chief before throwing her surgical instruments down on the tray and stepped away.

"You can do this. One step at a time." Owen assured Cristina.

"One step at a time." Cristina nodded. "Removing the needle over the guide wire." Cristina announced as she did so, "Catheter."

"Forceps. Suction to Dr. Carter." Derek nods at a nurse.

"It's going in easy." Cristina smiled, "Get the T.E.E. ready."

Allison leaned against the nurse's station as she watched Arizona hold Callie's hand. Once she saw Jackson and Lexie leave to go home she let out a sigh as she looked away ready to go home herself.

Jackson looked back at Allison only to see her retrieving figure walk away, he has just come out of the residents locker room after making up with Lexie—telling her he wasn't the type of guy to wait around for a girl who's in love with someone else and she assured she wasn't, he felt like a hypocrite because he is hung up on one girl yet he was giving Lexie an ultimatum about Mark

Jackson didn't want to loose Allison as friend, but by the looks of it, he's about to.
