as Owen spoke about the changes in the OR board about their surgeries. "I have one last thing to say, some of you, uh, may run into Arizona Robbins today. It's her first day back. So if you see her, just make her feel welcome."
The group cheered and clapped, "Or maybe...maybe don't make a big deal at all." Callie spoke up, causing the group to glance at her, "It might be better."
"Noted. Thank you." Owen nodded as everyone got up from their seats to resume with their work, only for him stop them, "Oh, oh. Hold on." Owen got their attention again, "I just want to address one more thing. Um, most of you are aware that a group of doctors have filed a lawsuit against our hospital. Some of you may be wondering what this all means and how it's gonna affect our staff. I'd like to be clear. It doesn't...at all. Let's just let the lawyers worry about that, that's their job. Our job is to continue to work together and support each other in giving the great standard of care that we have always given. Let's not let something like this get in the way of that. Thank you."
Allison looked at the floor feeling awkward seeing as she was involved with it, she left the room to check on her post-op patients.

"Allie." Jackson called out for Allison, who was walking down the hallway. Allison stopped, so he could catch up to her, "Hey."
Allison smiled, "So, are we still on for movie night?"
Jackson smirked, "You know it, maybe more than a movie night."
Allison chuckled, "Jackson, we haven't even talked about this, about us." She said looking down at the ground before looking back at him, "I want more than just sex with you."
"I want more than just sex with you too." Jackson smiled, as he brought his hand to Allison's cheek before caressing it lightly.
"Dr. Carter." An intern ran towards them causing Allison to look up. "Ms. Sullivan's aneurysm...it blew."
Allison eyes widened before she walked torward to the intern, "Next time, you page 9-1-1. Get an O.R. prepped." The intern nodded his head, "What are you still standing here for? Go!"
Allison looked back at Jackson, "I'll wait for your shift to be over!"
Jackson lightly chuckled as he saw the two jog to the patient's room, he couldn't help but admire Allison.

"Ready for movie night?" Jackson asked Allison, when she approached him in the lobby at the end of the day, wearing her ordinary clothes.
"Yeah." Allison nodded, as she went to put on her jacket, "Ready?"
Jackson nodded, his head as he took a hold of her hand, interlacing his fingers with hers. The two walking out of the hospital, when her eyes land on a man, her face falling.
"Jackson..." Allison turns to Jackson and places a hand on his arm, his brows furrowing at Allison, while the man heads towards them
"Micheal." Allison exhales deeply while Jackson looked between Allison and the man in front of her. "What are you doing here?"
"Well, you'd know if you'd bother to return any one of my phone calls." Micheal pointed out, his hands in his pockets.
"I didn't have my phone on me all day." Allison explained, "What are you doing here?"
"You two know each other?" Jackson asked, his brows still furrowed. When Micheal and Allison used to date, Jackson never met him—no one met Micheal except for Derek.
"Micheal Rivers." He holds his hand out which Jackson warily takes hold to shake, "You must be Jackson. I heard so much about you."
***
"Micheal, what are you doing here?" Allison asked the next day, as the two reached the parking lot of the hospital.
"I took an offer here in Seattle, so we can work on our relationship," Micheal explained.
"We broke up, when I left L.A." Allison pointed out, "Meaning we're done. You aren't my boyfriend anymore."
"Allie, I love you." Micheal nodded, "And I'm not going to stop fighting for your love."
"Do you hear yourself right now?" Allison scoffed, "I want nothing to do with you. I broke up with you."
"No you didn't." Micheal responded, "You left, so technically we never broke up."
Allison scoffed, "Take a hint." She said, "When a woman leaves it means she left you, meaning broken up." She sighed, "I was in a plane crash, Micheal. Los Angeles was a place for an escape, you were a distraction."
***
"She had a boyfriend in L.A." Jackson said, as he informed April about Micheal's unexpected visit last night, everything was going right between the two and unexpectedly he shows up. "Or has, I don't know what they are." He paused continuing to write on his chart, "I just feel like I don't know her anymore. I mean, why didn't she tell me."
April paused and dropped her pen, "She went through something traumatic, Jackson." April tried to reason, "Some people aren't the same after that."
"I love her." Jackson admitted, "More than I have ever loved anyone and she has a boyfriend."
"I have an idea." April looked at him, "I think you should bring a date to Dr. Bailey's wedding. That way you would have a date and maybe forget all about Allison and not focus on her."
"How am I supposed to find a date in one day's notice?" Jackson asked furrowing his eyebrows. In reality, he didn't want to bring a date to the wedding...it felt pointless.
April scanned the lobby as she found Stephanie standing on the other side of the Nurse's station. Before Jackson could stop her, April spoke,"Stephanie. Hey, uh would you like to go to Dr. Bailey's wedding?"
"Oh, what?"
"Dr. Avery would love for you to go with him."
"That's not true." Jackson denied, shooting a glare at April.
"He thinks you'd be embarrassed, but you're not embarrassed are you?" April asked. Stephenie shook her head, as Jackson denied. April whispered to him, "She has a boyfriend, you didn't know about, who she might bring to the wedding."
Jackson sighed knowing April was right, "I will pick you up at one o'clock tomorrow in the locker room."
***
"Hey, uh...can we talk?" Allison cleared her throat as she approached Jackson who was writing down on his charts, but he doesn't bother to look up at her. "Jackson?"
Jackson walked away from the nurses station not even glancing her look before he was gone. Allison sighed as her pager went off.
"Dr. Carter, the patient went into v-fib!" The nurse yelled out to her. Allison fast walked into the room as she grabbed the paddles from the crash cart.
"Charge to 360." She informed the nurse, "Clear." Everyone's hands went up as she charged the patient, "One more time. Clear." Allison's eyes were on the monitor, waiting for a heartbeat before she looked at her patient as she began compression, "You don't get to die on me. Not today."
"She's been down for awhile, Dr. Carter."
Letting out an exhale Allison stopped her compressions as she looked at the time, "Time of death, 15:50pm."

Getting ready in the attending lounge, Allison, April, Alex, Cristina, Jackson and Meredith all separated into small areas of the room as they all got ready. Changing their dark blue scrubs for dresses and suits. Allison was finishing her hair before she inserted a ring on her finger.
Once everyone finished getting ready Jackson, and Alex went to go pick up their intern dates, as Allison walked inside Derek's room since he got out of surgery.
"You look nice." Derek complimented her, as she made her way to sit down on one of the chairs.
"Thanks." She quietly said before pointing at his hand, seeing as Callie performed surgery on Derek that day, "You think it worked?"
"I think it worked." Derek nodded looking down at his hand before looking back up and seeing the look on Allison's face, "What's wrong?"
"Micheal's in Seattle. Jackson is ignoring me." Allison bitterly chuckled before speaking again, "It reminds me when Addison first came here while you were with Mer."
"But you broke up with Micheal." Derek stated, "Why is he here? Does Jackson know that?"
Allison nodded, "Yeah, but he wants to work it out, and Jackson, he ignored me when I tried to explain." She looked at her best friend's face before changing the subject. Wanting to talk about anything else other than this, "I lost a patient today."
"One of your firsts." Derek said, "All you have to do is keep going."
***
Allison awkwardly sat there with April as Ben walked up to the front, "Could I have everyone's attention, please?" The crowd of guests went silent and Ben chuckled, "Um, my beautiful wife-to-be has been pulled into an emergency surgery, so things are gonna be delayed for a little whole. Those of you who are doctors will understand. And those who aren't, uh...well." He gestured to the food, "They're setting up the buffet, the bar's open in the back. Drink, eat, and just as soon as we're able to, we'll have a little wedding."
The guests began to make their way towards the buffet as Allison sipped more on her drink feeling uncomfortable. Jackson didn't even send a spare glance to Allison, once she sat at their table—but he did, when she wasn't looking. She looked beautiful as always.
April, Jackson, Stephanie, and Shane got paged to go back to the hospital—incoming trauma. Allison felt like she should go back to the hospital to be with Derek and miss Bailey wedding and that's exactly what she did.
Derek wasn't at all surprised when he saw Allison in the doorway of his hospital room. The pair of best friends spent the rest of night, talking.
