in Meredith's old house, "A packet?" Cristina asked, "We're gonna convince these people to give us 175 million with a packet?"
Meredith shrugged, "It's a nice packet."
"Owen stopped calling. If this doesn't work, he'll never speak to me again." Cristina said, worried about him, she was doing this for Owen.
"Once we buy the hospital, the sneaking around stops." Allison assured Cristina, knowing how much it was bugging her.
Meredith nodded, "And once Owen finds out what we did, he's gonna be the happiest of all. Derek is completely convin—" She stopped speaking as Alex walked inside the kitchen, causing the two other girls to bring their heads up.
"Hey." Alex greeted them.
Cristina brought her coffee mug to her lips, "Hi."
Meredith smiled, "Good morning."
Allison nodded, "Hey."
Alex stared at them as he went into the fridge, brought out a small box of pizza and raised his brows at them, "Okay, really?" He put the box away, grabbing a slice, "It's been a week. What the hell is going on? You walk out, no warning, and now the hospital's falling apart. Yesterday a bunch of nurses walked." The three women looked at one another, "We lost lab techs, support staff."
"What?"
"I mean if you wanted to screw the pegasus deal, success, high five. But now people are saying that without a buyer, the whole place could belly-up in a month. What are you trying to do?"
"We—"
"Cristina." Meredith warned, as Allison looked down at her coffee mug, feeling guilty not being able to tell her other friends what they're planning.
Alex looked at them, as Meredith shook her head, causing Alex to sigh, "Fine. Whatever."

"Okay, this time, I'll do the peds and trauma stuff first." Arizona told her friends, as they prepare for their presentations.
"And then Allie and I will go into Neuro." Derek continued.
"Okay." Callie inhaled, "Can somebody else do the closing? I-I was awful the last time we practiced."
"No, you were fine." Arizona assured.
"We really want to end on my flop sweats?"
"Derek, you do the closing." Arizona assigned.
An assistant walked up to the group and apologized, "I'm sorry. It should be just a few more minutes. Can I get you any water or coffee?"
Arizona, Callie, and Allison shook their heads, saying they were fine, while Cristina asked for coffee as everyone looked at her, "And a bagel or something." Cristina nodded. Arizona scoffed as Cristina shrugged, "I'm starving. This meeting was supposed to start half an hour ago."
"Okay, he's a billionaire." Callie defended, "One of his minutes is worth 40 of ours."
"I can't believe we got this meeting in the first place."
"Yeah." Derek patted Stan on the back, "Nice job, Stan."
Stan smiled, "I really believe Julian Crest is our guy. He made all his money in late-stage internet mobile. Medical tech is the one area he doesn't have a foothold. Your focus on applied research, it's up his alley."
"Yeah, well." Cristina shrugged, "Someone should buy him a watch."
Meredith chuckled as she brought her phone to her ear. Allison looked at her, "Who are you calling?"
"Heather Brooks." Meredith answered, Cristina looked confused, so Meredith corrected, "Mousy."
"Wait. What are you doing? What happened to not talking to anyone?"
"I left patients behind." Meredith explained, "She's keeping an eye on them. I haven't said anything to her. I'm giving her advice."
The assistant came back with coffee and bagel as she placed it down on the table and Cristina reached for it, but she spoke, "We're all set if you follow me."
Allison couldn't help but shake her head and chuckle as she grabbed her purse and got up with the others. Meredith looked at Cristina, "Oh." She saw Cristina reach for the food and stopped her, "Leave it."

"You are investing in an institution, a reputation, a legacy, but Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital is worth more than its past. Our plan to build on that reputation, to make Seattle Grace a place where medical innovation is developed and delivered to the patients who need it. That is our plan. That is the future of Seattle Grace, and we invite you to be a part of it." Derek presented, as they all sat around in a conference room presenting it to the group of teenage boys.
"Neat." One of the nodded, "Well, uh, let you know."

"I thought you were taking us to Julian Crest." Derek told Stan, as they were now outside the building, "Not his day care center."
"You don't just walk and talk to guy like Julian Crest." Stan explained, "There are hoops to jump through." He pointed at the building they just exited, "Those junior excecs like us, they pass us up to his business development guys. We impress them, then we see the man himself."
"Oh." Callie nodded, "Will they do this before or after their nap time."
"You were golden in there." Stan looked at them, "There's no way you don't make it to the next level. I'm telling you," He pulled out his phone so they could see it, "Any second now, this phone is gonna ring." They all stared at the phone, "Really, any second now."
When the phone rang, everyone's eyes widen as they waited for his to answer it. He picked it up and walked a few feet away from the group, "...Yes, I understand."
"What are they saying?" Allison whispered to her friends.
"Yes, yes, yes. I understand."
"Understand? What do you understand?" Derek asked, grabbing Stan's attention.
Stan waved his hand at Derek as he spoke into the phone, "Thank you. Thank you very much for your time." He hung up as he looked at the group, "You guys, you were kind of rude."
