standing there as she ordered the rest of the doctors that made their way out on the ambulance bay. April got down and looked at them taking off her gloves, "They went to cut off the door, and all I could think was he's gonna bleed out. We need more time. I was pissed, but then I thought, ., so—"
Amelia began, "So you brought—"
"—the whole damn car." Maggie finished off for Amelia.
Allison and Meredith took off their lab coats. Meredith pointed to Keith, "How is he?"
"He's hanging on, barely." April answered. Meredith, Maggie and Allison walked on top to check up on Keith as Webber talked about how this wasn't the way they treat people at the hospital. April looked at them, "I just wanted to—"
"Give him a second chance." Allison finished off for her, "We got a second chance."
Meredith looked down, "Hey, Keith, It's Meredith."
"Thanks for having me over." He joked lightly, looking at the crowd of people that stood there, "How's Joan? What's the word on my baby?"
"We'll find out for you." Meredith assured him, nodding her head. "We got you."

The doctors went ahead to grab trauma gowns and put on gloves before they made their way back outside the ambulance bay. They began to move some stuff and check up on Keith, while he told them about Joan and their first date and about how she got pregnant.
"Grey, Avery, we're ready to cut the roof." Owen informed them. The two doctors nodded their heads while they looked at Keith.
"It's gonna get real loud and then it's gonna get scary, and then we're gonna get you out, okay?" Allison said, before she and Meredith moved out of the way.
The firefighters managed to take off the roof of the car and when it was removed the doctors all gathered to attend the bleeding while Allison kept Keith's head straight for no more injuries.
Meredith nodded, "Keith, how are you feeling. Talk to me."
"Uh...popular." Keith responded, begging to doze off.
"Okay, guys, when you clear, we're gonna cut away the piece of the door here that's impaling him, then you can get him inside, okay?" The firefighter informed them. The doctors nodded as they began to cut away the piece of the door impaling Keith. The sound of Catherine and Richard arguing caused the noise to stop, all the doctors staring at them. Catherine held up her left hand and slipped off the ring and gave it back to him and walked away.

The doctors stood around in a circle giving their opinions on what they should do since Meredith called off cutting the door since Keith yelled in pain. Jo looked back at them and turned around to look at her fellow co-workers, "We're gonna open him up out here?"
"It's the only way. We start an ex-lap." Meredith told her.
"Clamp everything we can. It'll buy us time 'till we get him upstairs." Owen pointed out.
"Only five or six minutes till he bleeds out." Maggie reminded them.
April shook her head, "That's plenty of time."
"All the O.R.'s are full." Allison pointed out, at least everyone from the incident were currently in surgery.
Owen raised a brow, "All of them?"
Ben nodded as Jackson looked down at the tablet, scrolling through it before lifting his head up, "We have a plastic O.R. open."
Allison shook her head, "That's all the way at the other end of the building."
"That's impossible."
"Nothing's impossible." Jackson looked at Jo, "We just—alright, we clear a path to the east elevator. Move everything out of the way, stop all foot traffic, lock down the elevator."
"Can he make it that far?" Maggie asked.
Jackson shook his head, "No, but he will. He doesn't have a choice, right?"
April nodded, "So, we run."
"All out like olympians." Maggie agreed.
"It's plenty of time."
Owen nodded, looking at them, "Let's prepare him for an ex-lap out here."
Owen walked up to them with supplies in hands as he gave out orders, "Warren you are going to intubate, Kepner and I will do the ex-lap. Grey, I need you and Pierce scrubbed and ready in the O.R. when we get there, we got it?"
Meredith nodded, "Okay."
Keith looked at Meredith and Allison, "Can you do me a favor, tell Joanie that I loved her and that I—"
"No. No, no, no." Meredith shook her head, "No messages from beyond the grave, Keith. We're not doing that."
"It's okay. You guys have been great. You went way above and beyond."
"Keith, yes, a lot of people here are working very hard to pull this off, and you have to work too, okay?" Allison asked, looking down at him.
"I've seen the looks on these people's faces. This is not going to work."
Allison and Meredith looked at one another, knowing what they had to do. Allison turned to look at Owen, "Hunt, we're gonna need a minute."
Allison and Meredith rushed their way inside and quickly paged Alex, who met up with them in the elevator. The three of them were on their way to the NICU so Keith could meet his son. Alex sighed, "I'm serious—one minute, that's all I'm allowing. It's too soon."
"Fine, fine." Meredith nodded, "You talk to Wilson yet about me and the kids moving in?"
Alex shook his head, "No, I was a jackass and now she's not even talking to me. I can't even—"
"Is she moving out?" Meredith asked, "Is there room for Amelia, because you could take your old room, I could take my old room back, and then Amelia could move into Allison's old room."
"Meredith." Allison chuckled furrowing her brows.
"I know, I know. But I hurt her feelings and she's mad at me. I forgot I'm supposed to be her sister." Meredith looked straight ahead.
Alex chuckled, "You can be a complete tool sometimes."
Meredith shook her head and turned to look at Allison, "Have you talked to Jackson yet?"
