Above the Surface

"My senses came back, Hush" I don't know if what happened to me was just a dream or whatever it is. I want to know where I am right now.

I looked around and what I see is the forest, the same forest I was in before I got to that underground cave and unknown things happened to me.

"What did just happen?" I casted a detection spell looking if the bear that furiously chased me is still here. He's not, looking at the sunset, it seems like all the time I've spent there were just a second here.

Nevertheless, that's the good thing because I can see the final battle and if the one I've placed my bet won. Just that... What really happened? Who's that person? Is this that guy's doing?

While muttering to myself, I walked towards the way out of this forest. Was that an illusion too? But everything looked and felt too real to be an illusion. Perhaps a high level illusion? If that's a high level illusion, then I would have died because of the bear. My head hurts.

Whatever, what's good is that I made it out alive. I wonder if the lizards is real too? No, stop thinking I don't want to remember my legs being torned.

I walked with my mouth silent but in my mind is deep in thoughts that is incomprehensible. I would only find the question if I'm the one who made that spell myself.

My thoughts continued like that until I reached the entrance of the city village. Entering without permission is illegal so even if I used Warp to get inside I would be imprisoned for a day, the first I experienced that, it sucked.

I introduced myself and they let me in, I don't have much luggage in me so there's nothing much to inspect and proved my citizenship inside with my card.

After I came in, I looked at my inventory to see if I got all the items I have and I have collected. All of them is still here, the brush, ink, the bear's meat. That's all I have so it's easy to notice if there's one missing.

By the time I arrived at the market, I can see stalls being assembled left and right. Some came with a stall with a wheel in them, some came in rented a solid wooden stall in areas of the market and some who owns it used it. Some only have leather layers on the floor, most of those like that only sell materials.

I came by some of the stalls who sells food, raw meats and seafoods. I offered a bear meat to them in disguised as a boar pig meat. It's texture, tenderness, looked and taste just like Boar Pig so making them believe it is just easy.

Although many rejected me, some still bought my meat and I still sold more than half of my inventory meat. I will just sell the last to my inn and I just got a win-win situation, Its possible I get a free meal from them If I offered it.

I gave it to Ryan and he paid me more than the one I sold at the market, and who's will is that? I just increased the price by 1 percent so it shouldn't be a problem, if he tried to buy it in the market it would have got a little more expensive. The deal was made and as expected, I didn't get an extra meal and I got to pay the food I'll eat later.

"The sun is setting, I should get to the arena by now [Warp]" I Warped to the entrance again, gave my entrance card and got it. I sat on the same place I got then, i couldn't afford to make an enemy of anybody here or I'll be inside that stage if that happens.

As expected, the match is gonna start by evening so I'm just good.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the match is starting soon so ready yourself" it's not the same voice as earlier, possible that they changed in duties. It's not my problem though, the arena now has a barrier. Everytime the finalist are fighting they always put it up for the action.

I took some of the processed meat, of course I didn't sell all of them. Some are still for me and sure will get me full the whole week if no accidents happen.

The Arena sooner or later will be full and now, "[Radar]" the fighters are getting ready, will It be a fight to death? All of them is fully equipped and consuming some kind of pill, it doesn't seem to have a bad effects or any aura in it so I think this round will be good.

"Already here?" Here come the annoying one again, it's my choice to come here again so I'm in no position to blame them.

"Yeah, What's the matter?" I answered just normal, I don't want to bother looking stupid just because of a woman.

"Nothing..." She sat besides me again, "Just in time, I wanna introduce here to you" pointing besides her is a woman who looked just like her sat down and still without any greetings, guess like she's not gonna bother. Her eyes felt familiar, looking back at it, I think I have a guess on who that is,

"No introduction, even so that's alright, this is Ricka, she wants to say nice to meet you~" The woman looked intrigued by that and raised her voice mildly to her "Wait up, I never said that!?"

"Alright, nice to meet you too. I'm Luna" I just got and go with the flow. It doesn't feel bad.

"Never mind!" She angrily said, what did I do to you!?

I just didn't say anything and nobody said anything. Such akward silence in a place full of noise.

First, the match is gonna start so it's nothing to worry about. Let's just watch for now and enjoy it.
