"I wish I'd never sleep"

What would you do if you get the same nightmare every night you sleep?
17 year old lily can't sleep at night or in the dark, because a nightmare is always waiting for her to sleep. But her nightmares are related to an incident,which her parents (Mr and Mrs Steve) are hiding from her.
Is she possessed? Or some paranormal powers are torturing her? Or is she just having normal nightmares? These questions never leaves her mind in peace.

Lily also had a little brother Niall, who she loves the most, and always tries to keep him safe, even if had to distinct herself from her precious little brother.
In her childhood lily and Niall found a secret basement of their father ,which has always been a mystery for them. What must be inside? They were always curious as they were not allowed to be near it.
Mr and. Mrs Steve had always been busy to protect lily, but she never knew why.
One day Mr Steve told lily about the night it all started. What happened that day?

After knowing the narrative, things got clear in her mind, but now she was getting to close to a disaster. Did Mr Steve successfully protected his doughter or did he failed to?

Spirits in my head

Lily I have something to show you. Hurry up and get along with me" 


Niall said to me in a mysterious gesture, I wasn't aware of what he was talking about, but looking at him, I didn't said a word and followed him right away. He took me our loan "where are we going Niall?" I asked out of curiosity, but he didn't said a word and stopped in front of the door that was still a mystery for us. "dad forgot to lock the door today" he said while looking into my eyes. 


I was just staring at him, and waiting for him to say something. So he instantly said "I want you to come in with me" but I was extremely scared as it was soon to get dark, and I also had also anticipated about the basement that it was somehow related to my nightmares, so I aggressively said "are you kidding me, do you have an idea about what will happen to us if mom or dad finds out" 


"they won't, mom is still sleeping, and dad is out there working on something" he replayed. 


He holded my hand and told me to follow him and that we were always curious about that, now it's finally time to get out this curiosity. 


He opened the door, but it was exceptionally dark inside,so he took out a touch from his pocket. But for some reason it didn't last for more than 5 seconds, we glared at each other. Our bodies were shivering, all covered in fear. 


We started to slowly get down the stairs, although it was extremely dark but we could see a room with a red door down there. 


All of a sudden I fell unconscious, all I could see was a red door and I could feel the walls and stairs fading away,or that my feets were in air. It felt like something was possessing me, the whispering voice was wondering in my head,it was the same voice I used to hear in my dreams, saying "open it" or that "you belong to us, come on open it" 


I couldn't resist myself and was about to open the door. Niall suddenly noticed that something was wrong with me, he quickly pulled my hand back, saying "Lily,wake up control yourself, you can do it"and took me out of the basement. After coming out, I came back to my consciousness, but it was already dark which I couldn't bear, it started to suffocate me. Although nial didn't had any idea of what was happening, but he handled me with his smartness. He took me inside and quickly turned on all the lights. It took some time to get back normal,which made Niall worried about me. "I'm really sorry lily, I had no idea this could happen. I promise I will never ask you to do something like that again."


After that incident, my curiosity grew instead of going away. The thought kept disturbing me, why does that room only affects me and no one else?. 


Now I really wanted to know the case in any condition, I knew my parents know something.why they were trying to always protect me from something without me knowing?


I had so many questions going on my mind.
