Camp Crystal Lake is cursed since several accidents, and deaths, have plagued the place since the 1950's. When Steve Christy re-opens the camp, he hires some campers in the summer of 1979, who are unaware of the danger they're in, including Alice Hardy, the ex-girlfriend of Steve Christy.
