He lashed out viciously, "This is far from finished." 

Rose went to protest, and Chris swiftly laid another ferocious kiss on her lips to hush her up. Then tugged her hand, leading her to the curb. While they waited for their carriage, he leaned over and panted into her ear.

"You forgot to negotiate what would happen after we finished dinner."

Christopher was so close to Rose that she was drowning in his erotic scent. Her clouded mind scrambled to remember what she had said to him earlier in the coach, and the words eventually rang out like an alarm resounding in her head.

'I am in control for the rest of this evening while we are at dinner. You must do everything I want and ask for,'

Rose held her tongue and did not respond to Christopher. She realized the error of her words. Rose should have never mentioned the part of 'while at dinner.' She understood it negated the first part of her demand about 'the rest of the evening.'

The bedroom was still and silent, almost to the point of feeling eerie. As Giselle slumbered peacefully, the only sound Kane could hear was her soft breathing. When Christopher saw his brother standing at the window that overlooked the garden, and after he noticed him, Lord Alexsander turned away.

He had considered his options, and it was now the time to implement the plan he had devised. The strategy he designed was to give Dante a harsh punishment. Kane would take away his beloved home at Dragonwood, and force him to leave England to return to his chateau in France.

Keeping the Count isolated from the people Kane loved and his family, was his main objective right now. It was in order to guarantee the safety and well-being of the little birdy growing in his wife. He wanted to protect it from any further harm.
