Chapter 15

When Saturday arrived, Katsuki awoke with a rising sense of impending doom. And a stiff neck from sleeping on the floor, but mainly the sense of doom.

He wasn't sure what it stemmed from and he hoped it was only in his head.

When he stood, he noticed Sho had already left and had neatly made the bed. Katsuki quickly went to brush his teeth, floss, etc etc, he got dressed and headed downstairs.

"Mornin' sleepyhead!" The Old Hag greeted from where she was leaning into the counter with much enthusiasm, Sho across from her eating his food.

They had been gossiping again, he knew it.

"Are you two best friends now or something?" Katsuki asked, plopping down in the stool next to Sho.

"Shoto here was just telling me about your classmates, since you never want to share anything about them." She hummed, a snarky smirk plastered on.

"Yeah, whatever." He scoffed, eating the food that had already been placed.

His sense of doom was right.

The rest of the first week was hell for Katsuki. The Old Hag and Sho were getting along like a fish in a pond, and he was a live grenade being thrown in. Kills the fish and pollutes the water.

So that Thursday morning, at the end of the first week, he decided he was going to separate the two.

"Oi, Old Hag. Sho and I are going on a date today."

Both the former and the ladder looked at him in surprise.

"You are?" His mother asked, excitement lingering in the corners of her voice.

"We are?" Sho said at the same time as her, his usually monotone voice laced with surprise.

Mitsuki looked at Sho, hearing what he said, "Bah- Katsuki, you didn't even ask him first? Where are your manners?"

Before Katsuki could reply, though he didn't even have a reply prepared, Sho spoke up.

"I don't mind- but I have one question- what exactly am I supposed to wear on a date?"

Katsuki was about to insult him but the Old Hag had other ideas, "My time has come!" She announced, grabbing Sho by the bicep, pulling him from where he sat, and dragging him away to never be seen again.

Katsuki didn't question it and went to get ready.

He threw on a gray hoodie with an orange/red flannel layered over, dark gray distressed jeans, and a pair of black platforms (he didn't want to appear shorter than Sho).

He did slight cat-eye eyeliner, with semi-transparent orange liquid eyeliner, and natural lipgloss.

He waited against the door, phone in hand as he looked at date spots (he hadn't planned that far ahead).

Looking up when his mom called, "He's READY~"

She did jazz hands at the door frame and Katsuki stared expectantly.

"Shoto, sweetie, that's your cue." She said softly, and an "Oh." could be heard from somewhere out of view.

Sho slowly walked out, looking down with one arm clutching his elbow.

"Ta-da!!!" His mom cheered, waving her jazz hands once more, "What do you think?"

Katsuki studied Sho, he was wearing a form-fitting navy turtle neck with black skinny jeans, and gray UGG boots. He, too, had make-up on. Mismatch mocha and teal eyeliner to make his bicolored eyes pop, blush on both his cheeks and nose, and natural lipgloss. His hair was fluffed, too, which Katsuki thought was cute.

"He looks alright."

"Katsuki, compliment your boyfriend!" His mother hissed at him, "He looks fucking amazing and you know it!"

He groaned, "Ugh, fine, he looks hot. Are you happy?"

She only smirked.

Katsuki quickly grabbed Sho's free hand and dragged him out the door.

"Have fun!" Mitsuki called behind him.

"I hope you die!" Katsuki yelled back.

"I love you, too!" She replied.

When they reached a safe distance from the house, Katsuki let go of Sho's hand and let out a hard sigh.

"So, where are we going?" Sho asked, tilting his head as he so often did.

"Well, I figured we could go to a Cat Cafe and then to an Anti-Endeavor protest."

"That sounds like paradise," Sho's face lit up ever so slightly in silent awe, "Although, I must ask why we're having a real date when our relationship is merely a ruse to provide me with shelter."

"The author figured us going on a date would be good plot armor as he's running out of ideas for things we could do during our time out of school." Katsuki shrugged, "I also think the Old Hag is getting a little suspicious of us not showing each other any affection when she's around. So this will keep it going."

"That makes sense, though I don't have any idea who this author guy is and what he has to do with how we spend our time together, but I will not question it," Sho replied.

"Ah- have you seen Attack on Titan?" Katsuki asked to which Sho nodded, "He looks like Levi-Heichou and Eren's secret love child."

Sho nodded at the use of the term 'secret love child'.

"He has brown hair in Eren's man-bun with green eyes, but he has Levi's facial features and he's short. Plus the resting bitch face."

"He sounds gay," Sho said nonchalantly to which Katsuki held back his laugh.

"You're one to talk, you Christmas fairy." Katsuki retorted.

"That's a new one." He commented on the nickname.

"Deal with it, Peppermint puebes." Katsuki replied, speed-walking ahead.

"You're on a roll today, Katsuki." Sho sped up.

"I could do this all day, Pokeball." Katsuki said, also speeding up.

"Okay- it's getting hurtful now." The bicolored boy hurriedly tried to catch up.

"I can't hear you, Freezer Burn!" Katsuki called, starting to sprint.

"Katsuki, slow down! I don't want to ruin the makeup your mom did!" Sho started sprinting behind him.

"The American flag called, they want their color scheme back!" Katsuki shifted from sprinting to running.

"Wha- America isn't the only country with these colors!" Sho yelled, not matching Katsuki's speed and lagging behind, "Katsuki! Katsuki!?"

Katsuki snickered and started to run backwards, sticking his tongue out at the boy tauntingly.
