Lucia nodded her head over the phone. She heard the beeping sound that indicated the call had ended. She decided she would see her grandpa herself before she would believe that he was alright. She had negative feelings about Melanie's presence in the hospital. She turned to see Hugh behind her.

"Your phone." Lucia said and stretched his phone to him. She expected Hugh to take it immediately but he did not. He was still looking at her with a scrutinizing gaze. Lucia was tired of standing and she wanted to leave. She still had to make porridge for her grandpa.
