"Is there a problem Emily?" He asked while guiding his horse to return back to the Duchy. Embarrassment. It was already too late to be conscious with my appearance. 


"By the way…" He cleared his throat first before continuing. 


"You went running here barefoot and wearing only thin clothes. Did you got in here by foot or…" 


"Oh that I had my horse a while ago but maybe it got lost. Gray was also with me." I totally forgot about him. I was too preoccupied and worried about Van being harmed. I can't let that happen. No way in hell. 


He gestured one of his knights to find the horse I rode on. Gray would be okay since it's him but he's not yet familiar with the terrain so he still needs assistance.
