Chapter 29: Tea

The next morning, a new set of vassals were welcomed. I told Van that I will be observing them for a week before giving my verdict. Since a venomous snake's fangs wouldn't be easily visible for the first few days and it will be requiring a lot of provocation and simulations before it shows itself.

He then approved the budget and the plan for the sewage system and water filtration system. As expected, the Duchy only spent a small amount of silver in the preparation and production of the system since we used up the indicted criminals as the laborers for the project along with a few expert laborers so someone would guide them along the way.

It was a productive three days for us because the sewage and water filtration system have already started. We have also started to convert the convicted vassal's properties into monetary value, thus filling up or should I say, flooding up the Duchy's treasury which created the next dilemma.
