Hidden Truths

The information gathered from the nanites worried Percy a little. The anxiousness didn't overwhelm him because he knew that Adrie could handle herself. He began to walk away then a sudden urge to be petty washed over him. Inside the building, all the technology either shorted out or was completely destroyed. The mass panic and cries of the workers can be heard from the streets. In his office, Nagumo already knew who was behind this.

"PERCY NAKAMURA" he screamed begrudgingly

People in the streets rushed to the scene to figure out what was happening. Security burst into the street looking for Percy but he had already gotten away. The blaring of police sirens could be heard all over. Percy smirked to himself feeling proud of the chaos he caused. Five minutes had passed as his phone rang

"What did you do?" Andy asked aggravated

"How rude of you to assume I did something" Percy playing coy

"I'm technically your legal guardian," Andy said

"And?" Percy answered back

"I could beat your ass!!" Andy screamed into the phone, " What did you do?"

"I kinda shut down an entire building" Percy whispered into the phone

"YOU DID WHAT!!" Andy felt his blood pressure rising

"Stop screaming so much," Percy said

"Fix it" Andy faintly

"Excuse me what?" Percy ask

"FIX IT!! DAMN IT!!" Andy yells and the vein on his neck begins to bulge

"I'm too far away," Percy said

"We both know you can cause a city-wide or countrywide blackout if you wanted," Andy said, "Fix it"

"Fine" Percy groaned

Percy's eyes glowed blue as he fixed the buildings' power. The chaos was slowly beginning to dissipate.

"Did you do this because you felt jealous again?" Andy asked

"Nagu-- what do you mean again?" Percy asked

"That time in third grade when--" Andy said

"Okay no," Percy cut him off, "Nagumo is planning something"

"Those weapons" Andy inquired

"He made em" Percy answered

"That's fairly interesting," Andy said

"You find anything out?" Percy asked

"Only that his father is dying," Andy said

"How and what does it have to do with Adrie?" Percy asked

"I don't know but look after her" Andy warned

"Won't need to it's Adrie" Percy said confidently, "I met Rita today"

"And you survived" Andy shocked

"Gee thanks" Percy sarcastically

"At least you made it out alive" Andy laughing

"She said that we are closer than I think" Percy chuckled

At that moment Andy goes quiet and a feeling of dread fills him. He wondered what else she told him. If Percy found out what he knew then a blackout would be the least of his problems.

"Hey, Andy, are you still there?" Percy asked

"I'm still here," Andy said, "Did she say anything else?"

"Nope," Percy said

"Okay then" Andy relieved

They exchange information until Percy decides to hang up. The news of the blackout of the Nagumo Industries spreads. Inside the building, Nagumo and Emily were having another meeting.

"This was Percy's fault" Nagumo pacing up and down the office

"Calm down no information was stolen" Emily rolled her eyes

"I need you to go and talk to Rita," Nagumo said

"Ok then," Emily said

"I know I'm asking a lot-- wait what" Nagumo surprised

"I'll leave in five," Emily said walking out of the room

In an apartment somewhere in the city awakes a young woman. She had short red hair, a slim waist and piercings on her left ear. Confusion filled her head because the last place she remembered was the bar. She walked out into the living room and she saw a girl around 18 sitting on the couch. As the woman came closer, the girl looked at her.

"Good afternoon ma'am," She said

"Hey, what's your name?," She asked

"My name's Alisa" Alisa answered

"I'm Kaya Bonko" Kaya said

"I made lunch if you want," Alisa said

"No no no I'm good" Alisa declined

"No we didn't sleep together" Alisa annoyed

"Oh thank god" Kaya feeling relieved, "How did I get here?"

"Her," Alisa said

"Who?" Kaya asked

"Me" Rita appearing right behind here

Kaya tripped on herself and Rita laughed a little. Rita explained the situation to her and told her to stay as long as she wants. The mood of the room turns more upbeat in a few moments. More time passed as they drank and made merry until Alisa asked.

"How strong are you Rita?"

"I'm the second strongest in the world," Rita said

"Woah" Alisa in awe

In this world, there are many assassins but they are not equal. Surrounded in secrecy, these people are hired to do nasty things. The top killers in the world are known for toppling governments and purging large organisations. They are the world's delete buttons when needed. Hiring one of them could cost billions of dollars minimum.

"Right now there are four of us," Rita said, "Cynthia the stellar goddess, Me, Konno the death knight and Okuda the Ken doll"

"What's your title?" Alisa asked

Rita exhaled and rolled her eyes

"The walking bloodbath Rita Baxter" she moaned

"That's the hardcore thing I have ever heard" Alisa smiled

"It doesn't suit me," Rita complained

"It's cool," Alisa said

"Whatever I have to go" Rita excused herself

"Okay then," Alisa said

"Don't eat my wings" Rita said

Kaya came out of the shower as Rita left and she looked at Alisa asking for her.

"She left," Alisa said

"Okay then," Kaya said

It was early afternoon and Rita was strolling through the city. She was all smiles and in an overall good mood. On her way to her destination, she notices what seems to be a couple fighting over something. She continued on her way minding her business, the walk took her about thirty minutes. The destination was a cemetery as she walked by the different graves, her heart sank more and more. The feeling of misery hits her and it hits hard. This was a reminder of all the death she causes every day but all that falls away as she approaches a gravestone. Rita kneels down in front of it.

"Hey I'm back," she said, "I just came here to say I'm doing fine, I'm strong as ever but I still don't know if I want to do this still," She said, "I do this to help people right" she stood there biting her lips, "I just do this because I need to save her"

Rita stood there for a while talking to this person. The day slowly moved into the late afternoon.

"It was a good talk," Rita said, "I'll save them both okay, I promise"

"That must of been someone important"

Rita spun around immediately to see Emily approaching her. The feeling of displeasure filled her

"Why the fuck are you here?" Rita asked

"I came here with a job," Emily said

"How did you find me?" Rita barked

"It's not hard to find someone with a fox mask," Emily said

Rita smiled to herself and walks towards her

"What's the job?" Rita asked

"Get the girl," Emily said

"This will cost you," Rita said

"Nagumo said throw money at you like a stripper," Emily said

"He would" Rita rolled her eyes

Emily tried to sneak a peek at the grave but the name she couldn't make out the name. The details of the mission were given to her and everything was worked out. Emily tried to leave.

"You came here with so much confidence," Rita said, "Even though I know your secret"

Emily stopped and turned towards Rita

"You believe you run this city," she said getting in her face "I'm the head bitch here"

"You're fun," Rita said

They both left together but went different ways afterwards. Rita, feeling a little aggravated, noticed the same couple again. This time the girl snatched the man's wallet. The two ran through the streets weaving between the people until they bump into a policeman. The girl wrapped her hands around the officer and accused the man of stocking her. Rita, feeling sorry for the guy, decides to help him out a little.

"Officier she's lying" she interrupted

"Excuse Me, who are you?" the woman asked

"I'm the person who saw you stole his wallet," Rita said

"No she's lying officer," the woman said squeezing her chest together

The officer looks at her cleavage blushing and excited. Rita just then remembers why she does this. She swipes her hand, taking the head of the officer clean off his shoulders. The officer felt lighter than ever but terror was edged into his face as he noticed his body falling to the ground. Rita crushed the head sending blood, pieces of skull and brain matter everywhere. The woman let out a glass-shattering scream but none heard her, Rita tossed the head aside and gave the woman a death stare.

"Please no I'm sorry," she said as she tried to run away but her body freezes

Rita placed her hand on her head and started pushing downwards. The sounds of the spine snapping from the pressure echoed. Her body was stuffed inside itself and cries for mercy finally stopped. The broken and bloody body lay there Rita took the wallet and gave it to the dude. She knocked him out to protect him from too much questioning. One of her purposes for doing this was never clearer, she does this because some people need to die. When she reached a good distance the sounds of people screaming could be heard. As she walked further away she noticed Adrie walking around. Rita steeled herself and began her mission.
