Chapter 21

The full moon shone down to the dark calm land. No matter how the moon will shine at night, it will never be as bright as the sun in the day, the woods was partially bright but enough to say the night was clear. At a distance, there was heard crunching of fallen brunches when they are stepped on.

To a certain tree in the middle of the woods where the moonlight was not blocked by other tall trees making it the clear part of the woods. A lady went rushing and stopped beside the tree. She moved by running which made her breath heavily on her stop. The lady as if she was running from something she looked left and right looking worried.

Suddenly she heard some movement on the coming from her left side. Tired of running she paused at the same position, afraid from what she was running from she tightly closed her eyes and started breathing heavily. On the other side of the tree, suddenly a man slowly walked to where the lady was, found her closing her both eyes, and gave the lady a soft light kiss.

After the kiss, the lady opened her eyes faced the guy while smiling, and said, “Love this is our night.” The young couple were ready to explore how it would be making love in the woods at night. The guy smiled and kissed the lady. After some moment of kissing the lady pushed the guy where he fell backward on the ground.

The lady then fell on the guy's chest and said while smiling “Am sorry but am going to pay that with something sweet.” The guy as he was smiling he responded, “You have truly lost your mind.” He had let his girlfriend fully control of the situation. The lady interrupt the guy’s words by saying, “Shsh!” and kissed the man.

The adrenaline in the two was so high where they could not fee the cold night. As the two were kissing the guy turned the lady becoming the one on top of her and continued kissing the lady. The kissing got intense where the guy gently moved lower to the lady’s neck and kissed her neck. The kiss to the neck made the lady to want to torn of the guy’s clothes but at the moment she was not on top to control. The lady close her eyes as she moaned due to the sparks lowing all over her body..

Suddenly the kissed to her belly stopped. The lady thinking the man was moving a notch higher she open her eyes as she sat on the ground while smiling only to find the guy standing before her. The changed the lady nasty thoughts by saying,

“Let me go for a short call.”

“Really now in such a situation.”

“Relax is a short one.”

The lady groaned a sound made when a person is boarded as the guy rushed into the bush. As the man was in the bush to calm down his lady he said to the lady with a loud voice,

“Be patient.”

“Just shut up and come back here.”

As the lady sat on the ground waiting for the guy the guy’s head went flying and landed before the lady’s foot. She was confused to what was on her leg unable to run away also unable to what ladies are blessed for screaming.

Behind her she heard a roar where she slowly turned, the next moment the loudest voice that came from the woods were her scream.

In the next morning, two guards were standing before a man’s doorstep where the owner of the house blocked them. The man was holding a bat and angrily facing the two guards said, “You are not entering my house to search for what I don’t have.” One of the guards replied,

“We won’t beg you to get in.”

“Do to me what you did to others who refuse your commands but I won’t let you in.”

“This is the last time we are telling you to walk out of the way.”

Since the secret book was lost it was ordered by Chief Ashanti that every home should be under search. The man reacted by holding his bat tightly ready to attack. The guards confident moved closer to the man to force him to comply with the law. Immediately the made a step forward the man, the man swung the bat in his hand where the guard missed it and they punched him to the ground.

Immediately the man fell to the ground he let go of the bat were one of the guard took the bat.no matter how strong was the man he was in a place to combat two guards. The man who was on the ground faced the soldiers as he was nose bleeding. One of the guard said to the man,

“Now will you let us in?”

“If you will only kill me.”

The guard who was holding the bat giggled throw the bat and said, “Come again.” The law keepers have always want to use their power since the old ages. Before anything else, Chief Ashanti who was walking by stopped the fight by standing before the man. The guards seeing hi they moved back where the chief helped the man. After the man rose from the ground Chief Ashanti putting sense to his mind he said to the man, “I am sorry for the inconvenience but you have to understand every house in the community is searching the sacred book. Giving them the way to search in it won’t cost you anything so for your respect please let them in.”

The man convinced by the chief he faced the two soldiers and nodded to them once. Then Chief Ashanti left as the two soldiers walked into the man’s house.

Chief Ashanti walked to the neighborhood where he found a woman crying as her husband was comforting her. Chief Ashanti being concern to his people he walked to them and asked, “Has your house being searched?” The husband as the strong one and supposed to overcome all the emotional pains responded still as he was comforting his wife,

“Yes!”

“And has anybody offended you?”

“No!”

“So what’s wrong?”

The crying woman faced Chief Ashanti still as she was crying and said, “This morning we have to wake up to only find my daughter missing.” The lady at the woods at night with her boyfriend was the daughter to the family. Though he knew the situation of the community of the time, he replied positively, “Maybe she is somewhere safe in the community.”

“No, I have this bad feeling about my daughter.”

After the words, the woman loosed energy to talk where she continued crying which made Chief Ashanti faced her in petty. A guard disrupted the moment by walking to Chief Ashanti where he said to him, “Owusu is calling you over there.” Chief Ashanti faced the guard and nodded his head indicating he was coming right away. Then he faced the man and his wife and said, “Sorry for that but I will do my best to see if we can find your daughter.” The husband responded, “Thank you.”

Chief Ashanti then walked to where Owusu was standing where Chief Ashanti asked Owusu,

“How is the search going on?”

“It’s going on swiftly and by Evening we will be done.”

“Was that that you wanted to tell me?”

“In the woods, there was found a lady and a man dead.”

“What may have caused the killings?”

“Is the same beast that is walking at night.”

“Owusu now am doing my best how to capture the beast.”

“You are only assuming it now you are concentrating on finding this book that does not affect us.”

“The book has the power to defeat the beast.”

“How sure are you?”

“Based on our beliefs on the book.”

“When it will be your daughter found dead that is the time you will react to this situation properly.”

After the words, Owusu walked away leaving Chief Ashanti hanging.

On the other side, Ama was in Agyemang and Opokuaa’s home. Agyemang was standing at the doorstep to his hut peeping in where guard were searching in. beside them Opokuaa was seated on a seat under a tree watching the guards.

To where Agyemang was standing, he shouted to the guard as they were searching the house, “Be careful with that!” the guard turned to Agyemang and rudely responded,

“Are you going to show me how to do my work?”

“No, but just be careful with my things.”

The guard walked out of the house closer to him and said, “Old man walk away.” He politely responded, “Ok I will be quiet.” The soldier responded rudely, “I said walk away.” Immediately Ama sensed things were to go rough where she moved closer faced the guard and softly said, “Just be cool go search the book but be careful.” The guard faced him as he was waiting to be provoked to act but he Agyemang was cool then moved back I the hose where he continued searching the book.

Then Ama slowly walked to where Opokuaa was seated under the tree where Ama asked her, “May I sit?” she was polite to her because of what she was going through she can easily get mad, Opokuaa who was facing away responded, “Is like your father owns everything in the community.”

Ama sat on the seat beside her assuming her words she started a new conversation, “Please try forgetting about Ofori it’s hurting you more and more.” Opokuaa trying to hide her feelings that were widely displayed by her look she replied, “He is no more in my mind.”

“But I can see in your face you are thinking about him.”

Opokuaa responded by a silent where Ama continued, “I cannot say that my father has no mistakes but he is a human all we are bound to mistakes.” Ama then stood and before she walks away she said, “I was a witness your son was a good man,” then she walked away.

In the evening Chief Ashanti was standing beside the Mugumo tree alone. Then at a distance, two men walked to him. Immediately the two men reached Chief Ashanti one of the men said, “Now here we are what did you wanted?”

Chief Ashanti with a low voice he said, “I wanted this mission to be underwater. The beast that has been killing my people I want you to go and bring more information about it and be careful because of its supernatural abilities.” The men responded by nodding their heads.
