Walls can talk

"Father" even Noah said but the look on his face made the king look at him with suspicion. His son never acknowledged his words and this smile was too genuine to be true. Before the king could question anything Alec spoke up.

"Your Majesty, he has lost all his memories. Well most of them. So, he doesn't remember any of us" he said, which made the king snap his head to Alec and then to Noah with shock. That explained why he acted so warm to him. He wanted Noah to remember everything but he realised it would only lead to the cold behaviour of his son to return. So, he remained silent about his situation.

"That is alright, he might remember everything eventually" the king said and asked the guard to call the queen. He was so happy with his son's return that he forgot about the two unknown figures that were there along with them.

The queen entered the room hurriedly and went to her son like a moth to fire. She went and hugged him and kissed him all over his cheeks like he was still a newborn. She was crying with tears of happiness. As for Noah he already knew that the woman was his mother and gave her a warm smile.

"I'll ask the cook to prepare all your favourites today, my child. Look how lean you have become" she said sadness evident in her eyes as they inspected his body. The king stood behind her and placed his hands on her shoulders to gain her attention.

"He has lost his powers and his memories. Let him get some rest for today" he said looking at his son.

"So what if he lost his powers or his memories? He is still our son. The most important matter is that he has returned back" the queen said with a warm smile at her son.

"I am grateful to you, my boys. You did well today. Let's discuss everything during the lunch" The king said and was about to dismiss everyone but the queen spoke up which took all his attention.

"That young lady over there, have I ever seen you before? You look really familiar" the queen said referring to Anastasia and everyone's eyes were on her. She blinked at the queen twice at her sudden inquiry.

"No, Your Highness. This is the first time I am meeting each one of you" she said.

"And who might you be ?" The king asked her.

"My name is Anastasia and I found Noah in the woods, Your Majesty. He was captured by some tribal cannibals for their sacrifice. So, I saved him from them and offered him to stay in my humble shelter. He told me he never remembered anything from before but he was remembering pieces of his past which led us here" she said.

"What superpower do you possess, Anastasia?" the king asked but the answer did not come from her rather someone else was eager to answer on her behalf.

"She is a fire elemental, Your Majesty" Noah said which caught the king's attention and made him chuckle.

"I see that my son has developed a liking for you. You have saved my son's life and I am really grateful to you for it. As a token of our gratitude, I would like you to stay here as long as you wish" the king said with a smile and Anastasia just bowed to him.

Now all eyes were on the little girl in rags beside Finn. The girl behind Finn was intimidated by all the eyes on her. Finn picked her up and said to the king,

"The crystal glowed golden near her, Your Majesty"

Everyone in the room except Anastasia and Noah were shook at Finn's words. The king asked for the guards to show Noah and Anastasia their rooms as he didn't want them to know the truth. Anastasia found it unusual being sent away like this but she just obliged and acted like she didn't care. As soon as Anastasia and Noah were out of the room Henry decided to speak.

"But she is just a little girl and that does not make sense," Henry said, gaining everyone's attention. Finn shook his head at him and sighed.

"The prophecy never said anything about Noah having a romantic relationship with the hybrid. He can fall in love with this girl as a brother" Finn said.

"What Finn said might be true unless there is another hybrid alive" Alec said.

"Did you boys check the crystal when Anastasia was around? Maybe she is a hybrid" The king said to which Alec and Henry turned to Liam. After earning stares from Henry and Alec for a few seconds, Liam finally realised that he was the one who was responsible for it.

"Oh, It did turn golden but Finn came there at the same time and said that it was because of that little girl," he said, pointing his finger at Finn.

"Which means that we still don't know if Anastasia is a hybrid. It doesn't matter since she will be in the palace from now on" the king said. He slowly walked to the little girl hiding behind Finn and sat down to her height.

"What is your name, little one?" he asked as the little girl peeked from behind Finn at the king.

"Talia" she said which was almost inaudible to the audience far away from the girl but the king heard it clearly. He was surprised and looked at Finn demanding an explanation. But Finn just nodded with a pitiful smile.

Everyone except Daniel and Finn were surprised on hearing the name. But the one who was more affected was Alec. Although he did not utter a single word related to the matter, everyone in the room knew that he was struggling on the inside.

The king looked at the girl again with a sweet smile and said, "Don't be afraid. We will not hurt you"

The girl took some courage and slowly moved forward from behind Finn towards the king. The king held Elisa's hand affectionately.

"You are free to stay here as long as you wish" he said and the little girl's stomach let out a small growl. The king's gaze fell on Talia's stomach and he let out a small chuckle.

"I see that you are hungry, the guards will take you to the dining hall and you can eat to your heart’s content" The king said and the little girl smiled as bright as the sun. She nodded her head furiously and held onto Finn's hand.

All of them were smiling at the king's interaction with Talia but little did they know that a traitor stood not far from them.

The king dismissed everyone as they all headed to the dining halls but one of the guards who stood outside the walls went to Adam's room. He spilled all that he had seen and heard to Adam as he listened to it intently since he was a Mentes.

"So they did find two hybrids but they are not sure of one of them yet. But we can't wait till they find out, right?" he said with a smirk.
