The Escape

Davenna watched as more guards ran out, leaving fewer guards with Zira. She waited for Ifrinn’s signal and then pulled a dagger into each hand and walked into the room. Ifrinn followed, slamming the first guard, while Davenna threw one dagger at a guard, jumped at him dropping him to the floor, and ran up to the third guard, bringing her dagger low slicing at his knees and ramming the handle of the dagger into his face knocking him out cold. She grabbed his bow and turned and shot an arrow at the two fae that turned to approach them. Ifrinn blew something towards the remaining guards and they all fell hard to the ground.

Zira turned around at the commotion. Her face brightened, getting up and moving to Davenna. Who hugged her tightly. “I knew you would come for me.” Zira said smiling.

Davenna let her go looking at her carefully. “Are you hurt? Did they harm you?” Davenna asked, touching her elbow.
