The Missing Page

"Are you sure that your daughter is the key?" The Sect Master asked.

"Hmm, I'm sure. After all, she is my daughter." Yueliang said. "By the way, did Jiao-Long agreed to give you the Pill of despair?"

"Not yet. But I know he will give it to me sooner or later. I just need more time to prepare things."

"Alright."

Before leaving the house, the Sect Master asked, "I have question. Why did you seal yourself here?"

"It's better for me to stay here for the meantime. If I'm outside, they might figure out our plans."

"Oh. Alright. Well then, I will be leave you be."

"Alright, take care."

Yueliang looked up into the sky, starring at the moon and murmured, "I will make sure that everything you did will be in vain."

Meanwhile at the white Lotus sect, Princess Yǐ sī tiē woke up while the woman stood beside her, "Princess."

"Stay away from me."

"Please, I will not harm you. We are here to help you."

"If you're here to help me, then why is your face covered?"

"I'm sorry Princess but, this mask keeps me alive. I will die if I take it off. The Sect master did it for me to live. I was on the verge of death when the enemy pierced me. I was glad that my lady saved me."

"Then, what is your name?"

Before the women could answer, the Sect Master arrived.

"I'm happy that your awake Princess. I'm sorry that I hurt you during our fight but, please understand that this is for your own good."

"Are you the Sect Master?"

"Yes, my name is Bai. Leader of White Lotus sect."

The Princess only stared at her. Then, Sect Master Bai and the Princess went to the garden for a walk. They continued their conversation there.

"Are you going to stay silent?" The Princess asked.

"Heh." Bai smiled and said, "You really don't remember anything?"

"What should I remember? My head is perfectly fine."

"Do you remember who are your parents?"

"My father is Jiao-Long and my mother is a Mortal Queen."

Bai stopped walking and turned her head to look at the Princess and whispered, "So they even tampered with your memories…"

"What? I did not hear what you said."

"Nothing Princess." Bai's worried face was seen by the Princess but, she did not pay attention to it and ran towards the Lilium stargazers.

"Wow! These are so beautiful!"

While starring at the Princess she thought, "They used a forbidden spell on her. This is not good." Bai thought of informing this case to Yueliang however, decided not to because if she finds out about this, she might use her Primordial Spirit to save the Princess. "I can't let Yueliang know what happened to her or else, our plan will be in vain."

At night, Bai called the woman in mask to Sect's Library to look for books related to the three forbidden Demon spells. However, they only found books about two of them and those were, 'The Chains of Demons' and 'The Devil's Cry'.

"What are we looking for my Lady?"

"Look for a book related to the forbidden spells. We have to know how to get back the Princess's memories."

"No wonder the Princess do not remember anything."

"Yes, her memories had been tampered and we must do everything to break that spell."

"What will happen to the Princess if this continues?"

"I am worried that, something big will happen and we must find the information as soon as possible. I have been studying dark spells for so many years and there are only few things I could find. Both 'The Chains of Demons' and 'The Devil's Cry' were already cast on the Princess. We have to look for the remaining one."

"Yes, my lady."

Both of them continued the search throughout the night and the woman in mask fell asleep in exhaustion. Bai saw it and gently placed a jacket on her. Then, she went back to her table to continue the search.

"Why would they want to cast those spells on the Princess? What are their goals here?" Bai whispered. "'The Chains of Demons' is to control someone by sacrificing Yang Energy. While 'The Devil's Cry' is for changing the memories of a person. But why would they cast those on the Princess?" Bai couldn't think of their motives and was confused. "Sigh. My head hurts. I will just continue my search tomorrow."

Meanwhile, "I have to get out of here." The Princess whispered to herself. She looked around her room and tried to open the windows. However, all the windows were locked. Even the door was locked.

"How sneaky to lock me in here." The Princess sat on the floor and tried to create a small dark aura that turned into a butterfly. "Go. Tell Xiexie where I am. I'm counting on you." Then, the butterfly passed through the walls and flew up into the sky.

After that, she went back to the bed and closed her eyes.

On the following day, both Bai and the woman in mask continued their search. "Yawn… My lady, I will go check the Princess first."

"Alright."

While she was trying to exit the library, she accidentally slipped and tried to hold on to a nearby bookshelf. The bookshelf also followed her down, falling on the woman, "Ahh!"

Bai used a spell in order to guide the bookshelf so that it would not hit the woman and ran towards her. Then helped her up. "Ouch! I'm sorry my lady. Please forgive me."

"Don't worry. You're just tired. Here, let me help you."

While helping her out, Bai saw a mysterious book among the fallen books. She checked it and there she found what where they were looking for. Bai returned to the table and began to check the book. There, she was shocked to found out that one of the pages of the book were missing.

"How is this possible?!" Bai murmured with her face filled with worry.
