Edelia and her guards rush to the city center and row a boat to the center of the lake, where the tallest ruins of the magical tower are placed, to serve as the eyes of the three gates of arriving adversaries.

Her telescope was a magical tool that allowed her to see long distances in the dark. She realized that doing so would allow her to operate in stealth, and no adversaries would notice her until she hurled the magical marble balls, which could compromise her location if the warriors sought to find her.
