chapter ten

Joan sat down at the fountain and looked at herself in the water

" how can he say I don't look pretty and that it doesn't suit me"

she cleaned the make up off and sat there for fresh air, just as she was about to stand up and leave she heard a click sound, she turned and the person took another photo.

"what are you doing, don't you know it's a crime" Joan said

"and it's a crime to look this pretty and you sound nice too" he said

"hi my name is kevins and am glad to meet you" he said

"sorry if I was rude, I was just appreciating nature" he added

Joan looked at him again and ignored him but he kept following her around and talking to her, she refused to reply to him.

"hey can I use it? promise to leave you alone now if you say yes" he asked leaving Joan confused but she wanted him to leave her alone so she said

"do whatever you like" and left

upon reaching home, she met Nick infront of her door.

Nick apologized to her and asked her to forgive him and Joan did, they went inside and chatted for a while and from the way it looked he wasn't going home today, he laid besides Joan after taking a bath and they chatted for a while and laughed

"so you have a girlfriend now" Joan asked

"it seems so" he said and turned to Joan and said

"how do you feel about that"

"why do I have to feel anything, am happy for you"

"then why did you run off" he asked

"because you guys were kissing and I didn't want to see that"

"oh but point of correction, we almost kissed, but we didn't because I saw you" he said

"why were you angry and said those mean words

"sorry but I don't want you to meddle with those popular people, they can be heartless at times and I've see people suffer from to their hands and I want to keep you safe, sorry I offended you"

" it's ok", she said

they talked a while and slowly she slumbered to sleep, he looked at her for a while and slowly placed his hand under her head, he pulled her to a hug and kissed her forehead and said

"sorry I said that, you don't know how beautiful you are, both inside and out and I don't want you tainted"

and he slept as well
