chapter twenty two

"Leticia let's leave " Nick said and held her hand and they left from there with Leticia smiling whilst looking at Nick's hand on hers and Joan left standing there alone.

Joan was nervous when Leticia said that but she became shocked when Nick held her hand and left. did he just ignored her for Leticia and is he really dating her, how could Nick turn her down for her? was some of the numerous questions she thought about on her way home

Joan went home and couldn't sleep, she wondered if Nick was actually dating Leticia

"he can't date her" she mumbled to herself, she couldn't bring herself to accept Leticia as Nick's girlfriend, she can't tolerate it neither will she be able to bear it.

during that same night Nick wasn't able to sleep, he kept thinking about itJoan and when she asked him to escort her

"ohh no, I can't believe i ignored her..... Aarg!!" Nick said angry

"what if this is our chance to get closer again, what if she got sad or disappointed or thinking I don't care about her anymore" he added

he turned and turned but wasn't able to sleep, the next day was weekend so he went to Joan's house early in the morning.

"Nick" Joan said excitingly as she hugged him

"I missed you" she added and led him in

"what's was that all about" Nick asked

"I thought about what you said yesterday and I remembered it was because you were not around that's why I always felt something missing" she said playfully

Nick smiled. when she hugged him he was happy and when she said that he was glad.

he held her hands and looked into her eyes and said

"sorry for yesterday, I wanted to take Leticia away because I thought she was going to start a fight" he said

Joan smiled, so he didn't ignore her, he just wanted to protect her

"no worries, I'm glad you're here" Joan said

They spent time together and they were both very happy they both indeed missed each other, Nick watched Joan and smiled.

it was getting late so;

"it's late, I have to leave" Nick said
