chapter thirty one

these words again, these words has been sounding like music in the ears of Joan, a sound she can't seem to forget and she didn't intend to forget.

the first time she heard this from him, her heart fluttered and since then Everytime she hears it her heart still flutters and she doesn't know why but all she knows is she loves it when he says it and she yearn to hear it, call her naive and probably stupid, maybe she really is.

after that day, Joan and Nick became close again,

"Leticia we thought you were dating Nick, why is that girl after him again" Leticia friend said

but she just smiled and said

"they're just friends, Nick is mine and will surely be mine and will always be mine"

"I trust you on this" her friend said

"are you ready" Nick asked

"Yes, let's go" Joan said

vacation was here and they were ready to go home, they bid goodbye to their various friends and left.

Nick was driving on their way back home, they had a lot of fun, they stopped sometimes, got themselves some food and also did some shopping for the family,

Joan was happy, and as long as she was, Nick too became happy cause Everytime Nick will smile he would be looking at Joan, she was his Happy place.

when Nick thought everything was going good, something happened

on his way home Nick kept on thinking of something that Everytime he looked at Joan he smiles, he was planning on doing something for Joan, it was a surprise only he knew.

"on that day, I will finally tell you what has been hidden" he thought to himself looking at Joan and he smiled

Joan turned to look at him too and it seemed she also had something on her mind, she smiled at him also.

what they didn't know was that their smile wasn't going to last long.

Nick was driving perfectly but no one knew what was on Joan's mind,she stretched her hand to touch Nick's hand that was holding the steering wheel,

she held his hand and Nick lost concentration for only a second and that second nearly took their lives
