days passed

"are you sure you're not pregnant" Kimmy asked

"no! I would know if I were" Joan rubbish the idea and moved on like nothing happened

one-day she didn't go to work and the company had just won this big bid that they decided to celebrate, Nick didn't know what happened but he woke up on Alice bed

Joan waited and called him that night but he couldn't pick, she was worried.

"why am I here?" Nick asked anxiously

"calm down Nick, it already happened"

"no!!!! nothing happened I would never cheat on Joan even if I was dead drunk. stop trying to make it seem as something happened" Nick said and left that place, he was so disgusted by sleeping on her bed that when he got home, he took a bathe in the other room before meeting Joan

"where were you, I was worried"

"I am sorry Joan" he kept on apologising

it's ok" Joan said

"no Joan I need to tell you something, last night we had a party and something I didn't plan to happen happened, but I promise nothing happened" he tried to explain

"Nick forget it, I understand it

wasn't your fault. let's forget about it"

"thanks Joan"

the following week Nick avoided Alice

"why are you avoiding me? is it because of what happened, "

"stop it, nothing happened, how many times do I have to tell you that" he said angrily and left

"something surely happened" Alice said

days gone by and Alice decided to tell Joan to cause misunderstanding between the two

"after all no one wants a cheater, this is my chance" Alice said with a smile.

the next day

"Joan we didn't mean what happened, we are sorry" she said pretending to be remorseful

"what are you talking about"

"about that night, party"

"oh no need to apologise Nick already explained everything to me about how something he didn't want to happen happened" she said and left

"how can she be cool about it" Alice questioned.
