Demon in the shadows 2

Shizue, or the Conqueror of Flames, was sitting on a window ledge, looking out of it while remembering what the Demon Lord Leon once told her.

"These Demons are quite heretical, making them rather troublesome. In place of names, each of them is referred to by their signature colors. The Red Progenitor Rouge , The White Progenitor Blanc, and the Black Progenitor Noir" is what Leon said at that time to her.

"Kuro.. Noir.. hee it couldn't be. Such a being wouldn't come here," Shizue said to herself, watching the sun slowly setting behind the hills.

Then it knocked on the door, Shizue grabbed her Mask and put it on again. "Come in," she said with her soft voice, looking at the door.

"Pardon my intrusion. His Majesty wishes to speak to you. Would you accompany me?" The person that opened the door asked.

Without hesitation and not knowing what would wait for her, Shizue said "All right" and stood up, following the man.

The longer they walked and the deeper they got, alarmed Shizue. She ignored the silly compliments that the person made on his way like, "You were great at the fight with the demon earlier!"

Shizue knew that the Demon she fought was stronger than her. She noticed in the fight that he actually had held back his strength, but she couldn't think of why he was doing that.

'The Underground? Is this where the Demons' remains are? But this knight... I didn't see him in the throne room earlier. How did he know of my fight against the demon?' Shizue thought and followed him.

Then as a big door revealed the minister and the king Shizue stopped , the thrones were not what a human king would sit on and a third one was still empty until the knight sat down on it.

"What is the meaning of this?" Shizue asked.

"You're rather slow to catch on aren't ya? You must be exhausted from the fight earlier, that's why we need to sacrifice you while we still can." The minister answered.

"I see you were in a collusion all the time." Shizue said.

"That's right ... I am the ruler of this land, my name is Orthos," the one that brought Shizue here answered.

"Orthos? The imperial knight hailed as a champion and hero? That's it.. so you were never sealed but a demon, an enemy of mankind.

"Well I am the ruler of this land as well, as mentioned" the demon answered.

"So you gathered the most experienced adventurers to fight against the demon that was summoned by someone else, and used them to gather strength yourself afterwards. The Kingdom of Filtwood is ruled by demons, what a shame," Shizue said.

"That Demon was powerful but he disappointed me at the end... anyways what interests me more is the power of your mask... I'll make it my own" the demon said with a cocky smile.

Shizue grabbed her sword and immediately rushed at the demon while coating it with her fire magic. Surprisingly the Demon caught her sword as it was pointed at his throat, making a small wound on it.

"You still have so much power left until that fight? You must be stronger than the silver wings if you could injure me."

"So it was you who killed them," Shizue said angrily.

"Indeed ... through a failure of our side allowed them to escape. But you won't escape" the demon said.

"Sophie-sama we should finally intervene!" A female voice out of the shadows could be heard, both Shizu and the Demon gaining a surprised face.

"Who is there?!" The Demon asked angrily, while Shizue, who recognised the voice easily shouted, surprised "Hinata?!"

"That toy of yours destroyed my epic moment!" Another voice, this time an annoyed male voice could be heard.

'Wait.. that was his voice! The Demon from this morning!' Shizue thought.

"Ugh how often do I need to tell you that she isn't my toy!" Again another female voice was heard as the three of them slowly walked out of the shadows.

Noir had three human heads in his hand while laughing like always seeing the current situation they were in right now.

"Hinata? What are you doing here and with that demon?" Shizue asked, surprised.

"Well... I can explain .. you see ehm..."

Noir interrupted Hinata "We are here to finish my job" he then threw the human heads at them. as soon as they landed on the ground they changed to a demonic appearance and then dissolved.

The Minister and King seemed shocked "How is that possible.. How did you catch all those?! They were possessed by Greater Demons," The King asked .

"Hm? They weren't that strong at all, even that toy over there could kill one of them" Noir said, pointing at Hinata while Sophie simply sighed.

"Stop being pussies, they simply went back to hell , we can summon them later on again" The Demon in charge said to the Minister and King.

"Oh well, I'm sorry but my friend over there is quite interested in their souls so they won't ever come back... not that that's what you need to worry about right now kufufu," Noir said smiling.

There he goes again , seriously he is giving me so much headaches. I think he deserves some years in hell again without going to the Overworld. Lately he has been responding to every summoning.

"Can't you just finish it? I'm getting bored over here even when that human has quite the body~" I said smiling.

Hinata looked at me with a bit disgusted and concerned face, "Are you now even going after my sensei Sophie-sama?"

I patted her head to calm her down. "Pfft- don't worry I was just joking around."

"That's enough I'll kill you myself" The demon said and stood up dashing towards Noir, which was his death sentence as Noir simply lifted him up while grabbing his neck.

"You are too slow, demon from the red lineage, you guys have a problem in always thinking you are the greatest. Kufufu you are only a young Arch Demon but so confident kufufu," Noir said smiling.

"You- you are..." Fear could be seen on the demon's face as he then suddenly was killed by the Shadows. Of course it was not Noir's doing but mine as several spikes were piercing through the demon's body.

"Kufufu you should know that I don't like to be interrupted in a fight." Noir said, looking at me.

I sighed, "You are calling this a fight? Needless to say that I don't want to be the entire day down here looking at you having fun with this weak demon." I said.

"W-what?" The king and Minister were shaking as they saw the Arch Demon die without even fighting against it. I could feel that both of them were possessed by greater demons, so they wouldn't even come near the arch demon's strength that was already so weak.

"Sometimes it's really boring to be strong" I said to myself in a low voice, but Noir seemed to have heard it "Kufufu that's why I stopped reaching for that kind of thing like red... anyways..." He said and killed off the other two as he pierced their heads with his claws.

"You've finished your task so you can leave now" I said looking at Noir and added, "I bet you wanna look around the overworld with your remaining time."

"Wait! I've wondered who could employ such a strong demon like you?" Shizue asked as she put away her sword.

"Kufufu Humans nowadays are very interested in us demons aren't they Sophie? I shall take my leave, you know what to do, right?" Noir asked me.

"Yeah yeah" I said, waving with my hand uninterested. Seeing this he teleports away.

"What does he mean with that?" Shizue asked, confused.

"I guess you must be Shizue, for a human to keep Ifrit in check is quite the feat anyways... you shouldn't talk about today and then you are safe. Easy isn't it?" I asked.

"Well.. yeah I guess... but how should I explain this mess right here?" Shizue asked and then added "And who are you?"

I looked at Hinata who simply nodded and sighed, "My name is Sophie, I'm a Demon that is enough isn't it? As for your first question I'm gonna use these bodies and souls, so you can just go around and say that the demon killed everyone and used them to gain strength and finally you killed him, this way you are the hero isn't that nice?"

"I guess that could work but... you kinda have an interesting dialect are you maybe an .." In that moment the dungeon they were inside of was filled with suffocating magicules as I released my [Demon Haki] out of anger. "Do not be too curious for your own good."

"Y-yes I'm sorry" Shizue apologized. It seems like she understands it and has her own bad memories, that girl is really interesting. I calmed down and sealed my aura again "Hinata, why don't you bring her back to the surface?"

"Yes Sophie-sama" Hinata said happily after the short shock right now, "Shizue-sensei please follow me," she said, and both left me alone in the dungeon.

The Dungeon-like room they were inside was now finally empty, only Sophie was standing there between the corpses. Silence, nothing else as she thought for a moment about the recent things that happened.

She was sure that she had seen that girl Shizue somewhere before and she was sure it had something to do with Rimuru, the main character of this World, she was reincarnated by bike-kun.

'But I hadn't seen her in the manga at that time , maybe she was on the cover? But that means that Rimuru will soon appear in this World' Sophie thought.

Sophie shrugged it off and smiled while looking at the corpses "Good thing you weren't female but ignorant old geezers." She said while preparing her summoning

Then finally she stretched out her hand, and without a single Word she used [Linage Summoning]. This Summoning Magic was a little special, only 8 demons are were able to use it and she was one of them.

A purple colored summoning circle appeared and began to dissolve the bodies and souls as Sophie began to speak. "I, Sophie, demand you Fortune to hear and answer my call. I know that you already have a body but those souls and bodies will be of use to you as a meal." She said in a demanding kind of voice.

"Of course my Queen there is nothing that brings me more happiness than to answer your call." A Voice could be heard as a Demon slowly rose out of the Summoning Circle, the dense aura that surrounded him disappeared as he was fully summoned.

The next moment the summoned demon took Sophie's hand and kneeled down, followed by a kiss on her hand he said, "I, Fortune one of the three Arch Generals has answered your summoning my Queen. I'll devote my body and soul to you and your orders.''

"For someone who is spying on me without my permission you have quite a way with your words Fortune, seriously what should I do with you." Sophie said sighing

This shocked the ArchDemon and he panicked instantly "I'm sorry my Queen but who could not wish to look at your beautiful appearance?"

"I've summoned you only because I thought of you as the one that would be the best for this kind of work, despite that you are one of the closest to me Fortune so do not disappoint me," Sophie said with sharp eyes.

Fortune once again kissed his Queen's hand "I'll follow your orders to my best, my Queen."

"You'll refer to me as Sophie-sama when we are together with other people. You'll play no games with people that are close to me and by that I mean Luminous and Hinata as well as this Shizue." Sophie ordered.

"I understand my Queen , haaaaa what a beautiful name," Fortune said smiling.

"Good now that we have cleared that out... Your order is to infiltrate a Kingdom you judge as worthy to be the best place for an information guild in the Shadows, afterwards you'll build the most complex information network in this world. I want to know everything that happens even if it is just a fly dying. Did you understand me?" Sophie said, looking at fortune with shining red eyes.

"Those red eyes... there is nothing more beautiful than this. I'am sure that I'll give you the best information network that exists in this world... I just want to know the degree of actions I'm allowed to take against those silly humans?" Fortune asked.

"I'll allow you to do everything you deem necessary to fulfill my orders, just don't make an entire nation into a bloodbath." Sophie answered smiling.

"Fufufu... I'll make sure to bring you good news soon my Queen." Fortune said smiling.

Sophie took his face with one hand while Fortune was standing up from his kneel. She moved his face to hers and then whispered into his ear "If you do good, like the good demon you are... I'll give you one wish to fulfill your desires."

Fortune twitched as he could feel his Queen's breath on his skin, not to forget her charming aura and everything else about her that stimulates the demon's hormones. "I-.. you know that I'll do my best, my Queen... I- I-.."

"Good boy and now go." Sophie said, smiling as she let him go and he teleported away.

"Well then guess I should pick up Hinata and get back to Ruberious... this was quite the entertaining journey but I kinda miss Lumi-chan~ fufufu" Sophie said as her eyes turned back to their original blue color.
