꒱.. It doesn't take long for the girl to figure out that the man's kitchen holds nothing she intends to use. The pantry has rice yes, but what of the various side dishes she plans to whip up?
"Sammy," she whines approaching him.
"What?" He gruffly responds.
"You don't have a lot of stuff and I uh need certain things, can we go shopping?" She briskly asks the male.
Samuel glances at her with a gaze full of boredom as he pulls out his cellular device. He taps the screen a couple of times before handing the phone over to Shinju, "Text him what you need."
She begins texting his assistant the various items she needs in order to complete the meal while trying to balance on her foot to complete a yoga pose. "Okay all done thank you," she purses her lips handing him back his cell before throwing herself against the couch next to the stoic male.
The awkward silence fiddles around the room as the two sit next to each other before Shinju makes a move.
"...What are you doing?"
His gruff voice makes the silence dissipate as he glances down at her. Mimicking a massage, Shinju gropes his arms as she explores his tattooed body. She is quite enamored by the ink etched on him from head to toe.
"What do they mean Sammy?" She questions innocently moving her hands to his lower chest. Her breath fans against his skin as he answers numerous amounts of questions from the girl who keeps poking around his well-built body.
The man remains seated awkwardly not knowing what to do with his hands as she ventures around scanning his tattoos. Alas, he rests his back against the couch bucking his hips open wide allowing her to rest atop his thighs whilst his hand land on her smooth bed of hair.
Her hands reach to travel further upward on his bare skin as Shinju finally realizes their proximity. Once again they find themselves awkwardly close as neither complain nor move away.
Nevertheless, they are interrupted by the resonating ding of the doorbell.
Oblivious to the infectious air between the two, Shinju hops up excitedly to grab her much-needed ingredients.
Feeling her run from his grasp, Samuel's teeth clamp down on his bottom lip realizing what his next move would be. It is to settle his lips down on her pretty pair. His lewd thoughts run rampant as he watches her swing open his front door.
"Hi, sir... woah you're tall," Shinju gapes at his unexpected height.
Thrown off by her grabby hands reaching for the bags of food in his strong hands plus the compliment he doesn't realize the door is now closed with a sweet goodbye from the short girl. He remains confuddled as he can hear her animated voice disappear from the vicinity. He shrugs before heading back to the car.
"Sammy, I got it!" She yells happily skipping toward the kitchen area. Shinju fumbles through the bags spreading the ingredients out down on the counter. Samuel helps her get settled in and get familiar with the cabinets and drawers.
At last, it is time to start cooking the morning meal for the two.
First, she spends her time carefully chopping up various ingredients with a sharp blade until they are diced into the right shape. She is sure to grab her seaweed to make sure it is near.
Next, comes the rice. She measures the amount and washes it thoroughly before setting it aside to cook.
She hums a hip-hop beat as she sets her pot of water at a high temperature to begin the boiling process. Yanking the refrigerator door open she reaches for the eggs in order to mix them with the proper seasonings.
Time goes by as her miso soup is joined by vegetables, her fish is finally cooked, and her tamagoyaki is set to the side.
The final dish, her rice has just dinged.
It is time to plate.
She sets the various dishes in their respective bowls before calling the tattooed man over to eat.
"Sammy I'm finished!" She hollers for him to come to join her. Shinju is excited that he will finally have a chance to taste her cooking.
He finally sat and begins to dig into the fresh, steaming array of foods prepared for him. Stuffing his mouth full of rice he is faced with staring eyes that belong to the chef.
"...What," he grumbles reaching for more food.
"Do you like it?" She hopefully asks as her eyes focus on Samuel.
He stares at her wondering if he should give her the satisfaction, but he can see she had worked hard to cook for him.
"You did good," he quickly squeezes out.
"Really? Yay!" She giggles happily picking her chopsticks up to join him in finishing the meal.
The two sit in silence which is broken by the sweet voice of Shinju until the food is finished and Samuel goes to put the dishes away.
"Hey Shinju," Samuel beckons her over.
Her feet tap against the floor as she appears in front of him, "Yeah, what's up Sammy?"
"About the other night when I picked you up, what happened?" Samuel changes the mood to a more serious tone.
"Well um," she fiddles with her fingers, "It's been happening for a while, but I am starting to remember some stuff. Like there was this boy, but yesterday I hit someone! I don't like hitting people, it's mean. But he was mean too and then I remembered this girl. And so I called you," she reveals this information just as confuddled as the man before her.
Samuel knows little about the life she had lived before moving here.
But lost memories?
What could've happened that she lost certain memories?
He stares at her wondering the horrors she might have experienced. He knows of his cold exterior but he genuinely feels bad for her.
