Jingfei woke up to a darkened room. He had made sure to shut his curtains before, and though they still allowed sun to enter, it wasn't as bright as it would be without his gray curtains. He groaned, waking up. His room was pitch black, no light entering. Jingfei knew two things. "One, he woke up late. And two, he hated his new nocturnal brain.
Jingfei sat up, looking at the clock that sat at his desk. Eight fifteen. Jingfei's eyes widened as he glanced at his phone. Or where it should be on his charger. Jingfei scanned the room for his phone, which seemed to not be there. He sighed, slowly getting out of his bed. No wonder he hadn't been woken by Wei's call. He had a feeling that Wei was going to be here any minute to yell at him.
He slowly waddles into his wardrobe, grabbing the first thing he could kind. Leather pants. What was he supposed to do with that? Jingfei scanned his closet, tossing the leather jeans casually onto his unmade bed. He grabs a boring white tee shirt that says something in English, and a boring leather jacket. It wasn't something he wore, but Jingfei didn't care all that much. He quickly changed, grabbing dark sunglasses from his desk, before stepping out and into a bright room.
It wasn't late, and Jingfei didn't expect Bambang to be asleep, But for his roommate to be in the living room, talking with…. Someone, he didn't expect that. Jingfei walked into the main room, casually nodding to the girl sitting on the other side of the couch. "Are you leaving?" Bambang asked, looking over. Jingfei glanced back at him, combing his hair out of his face before nodding. The girl on the other side widened her eyes. "Your… one of them. Aren't you-" Bambang quickly hit her, giving her a glare. Jingfei looked over, lifting his sunglasses and using them as a makeshift hair band. He smiles kindly at the girl.
"I'm one of what?" He asked. He didn't say it rudely, yet the girl seemed to take it that way. Were they on a date? Was Jingfei ruining it? He didn't plan on talking to them, but Bambang started it. She reached for something on the couch, but before she could Bambang snatched it away. He couldn't tell exactly what the item was, but it was something shiny. Maybe jewelry. The girl did have some silver on.
"Get out." Bambang said harshly. The girl turned to him, obviously shocked by his words, before going back to Jingfei, who was eerily confused. She scoffed, her dyed blond his swing around as she looked between the two men. "Bambang, you're not gonna- oh my god you're just a fake!" She yelled, stepping back from him. Bambang gave her a neutral look, his lips forming a line. "I'm not a fake, I just follow the rules." Bambang pointed out, crossing his arms.
Jingfei watched the girl stand walking towards the door. As she pasted Jingfei, however, she whispered something in his ear. "Burn in hell, vampire." She spit harshly, before continuing to walk. Jingfei widened his eyes, turning to watch her go before looking back at Bambang. He sighed, standing up.
Did Bambang know about Jingfei being a vampire? Did that girl know? She had to, didn't she? Why would she say such a thing to Jingfei? When he looked at Bambang, he didn't look at the human like a friend. He didn't look at Bambang like someone he could tell all his secrets to. He now looked at Bambang like some who he shouldn't trust. Someone he couldn't trust.
Jingfei sighed, shaking his head. "I don't…. Wanna hear it. I'm gonna go over to a friend's house." Jingfei sighed, noticing his phone on the counter. He grabbed it, before walking towards the door. But right before he went there, he smelled a seaweed-y smell. Jingfei gripped the handle of the door tightly, looking down. It was a sweet smell of fish, wrapped with seaweed and rice. Jingfei looked around, before his eyes went to Bambang. "Please, please tell me you bought sushi today?" Jingfei begged. Bambang gave him a confused look. "No…"
Shit.
