Bambang looked strangely like Jingfei. It seemed the boy's breathing stopped. He was practically frozen, staring at the door. His grip was tight, tight enough to break the door handle. Bambang didn't exactly know what to do. He took a hesitant step forward, before Jingfei quickly turned around, his back pressed to the door. He stared at Bambang, with terrified eyes. Jingfei was scared, but of who?
Quickly, those frozen and scared eyes were changed into darker ones. His eyes glowed red, and a small, blood red smirk appeared on Jingfei's face. Bambang knew that look. He knew that look all too well. It was the look that he got all the time. The look of a predator, seeing it's prey.
Jingfei ran forward, tackling Bambang to the ground. Air was forcefully pushed out from Bambang as he hit the carpet, making sure he didn't hit his head. Jingfei forcefully grabbed his hands, placing them above his head. Strength wasn't something that a human could ever win against a vampire, but smarts. Now that was. As Jingfei leaned down to Bambang's neck, the vampire hunter kicked Jingfei in the stomach, sending the vampire back a meter. Enough for Bambang to grab the knife on the couch. Jingfei grabbed his foot as Bambang was on his knees, yanking him back towards the crouching vampling. Bambang reached enough to barely grab the knife, just before being pulled away.
"I'm sorry." Bambang whispered, before kicking Jingfei in his chest as he was pulled. Jingfei fell back, which made Bambang quickly scoot on top of the other, slicing Jingfei's palm. It was enough to send the vampire a message. The knife was silver. Jingfei hissed, snatching his hand away. Bambang placed the knife at his throat.
The next movements were too fast for Bambang to notice. The door swung open, causing Bambang to look over. Four men quickly ran in as Jingfei grabbed Bambang's hand, whipping the knife to be pointed at Bambang. Bambang looked over, scooting away before Jingfei stabbed him. He looked around. But someone's words stopped Jingfei's advancement towards Bambang.
"Drop it, now."
It was the vampire he saw rummaging through his closet. Jingfei instantly did as he was told, dropping the silver knife to the ground. Bambang was quick, ready to grab it, but someone stepped on it before he could reach it. Bambang looked up, seeing him. "Don't even." He muttered. Bambang slowly stood, looking around the room. Jingfei wasn't in the same place he was, instead now being cradled by one vampire, while another covered his face.
"I wasn't going to kill he. He's my friend. I just wanted him to calm down." Bambang said. He wasn't going to kill Jingfei. He would never even think about that. The vampire gave him a harsh look, before looking over at Jingfei. "How did you do that? You controlled him." Jingfei looked like a killer robot, but as soon as that vampire told him to stop, he did. Before he could answer, a boy, a little younger than Bambang, walked in. "The older a vampire is, the better they can control vamplings. It's a safety measure." The boy informed him.
As Bambang looked into the boy's eyes, he noticed the crystal blue pupils. His eyes widened, Bambang looking between both vampires. "Snow Bird, what did I tell you? It's not safe here Yang-" The elder vampire scolded. The boy rolled his eyes.l "Chan, I am old enough to go into rooms without your permission." Yang said. Chan. That was his name. Chan sighed, glancing back at Jingfei.
He looked almost knocked out, his head down to the ground, limp. However, he nodded to whatever the vampire with the two-toned hair was saying. He still seemed out of it. He didn't seem jumpy nor very alive. He seemed frozen. Like how he was when he attacked Bambang. Only difference was there wasn't a smirk on the boy's face anymore. Bambang sighed, looking up at Chan. "What happened? Jingfei would never hurt me, he wouldn't hurt anyone."
Chan sighed, shaking his head. "He didn't. The urge just got the best of him. That's why he should have been at Wei's house by eight." Jingfei slowly stood, causing both vampires that were near him to step back slightly to give him room. One placed a hand on Jingfei's shoulder. The other sighed, looking at Chan. "I'll be right back, I have to get something." The vampire said, before walking away in front of the main room. He didn't walk out of the house, however, instead walking towards Jingfei's room.
Jingfei's hair covered his face as he continued to stare at the ground. Bambang took a step closer, but Chan grabbed his arm, pulling him back. Jingfei looked up at the two for a moment, before Bambang shrugged Chan away. Jingfei suddenly took a step forward. Not towards Bambang or Chan, but towards the boy. Towards Yang. No one moved, no one said a word, instead watching the vamplings subtle movements.
Suddenly the vampire dashed to Yang, but before he could attack the boy, both Bambang and Chan ran towards the two. Bambang went to Yang, placing the boy beside him behind the vampire hunter, getting into a fighting stance. Chan however went to Jingfei, wrapping his arm around the vampire's waist and pulling him close, not letting Jingfei get out of his grip. "Relax, Jingfei. You're not hungry any more, so relax." Chan whispered softly in Jingfei's ear. Bambang was silent, watching them.
It was incredible, the differences between both their actions. Of course, the human wanted to protect a human. Whilst a vampire, wanted to protect the vampire. It was ironic, how simple their brains thought who was more important to save. No matter who they had known for longer. Jingfei continued to reach out, even with his eyes leveling. Bambang held his stance.
"Let him go, he doesn't want Yang."
Chan and Bambang looked back, seeing the vampire that had left previously. He held something in his hand. Hesitantly, Chan let Jingfei go, and soon the vampling was dashing once again, but not to Yang, instead right passed him. He went to the other vampire, stopping right in front of himn The vampire gave Jingfei something. "Here, hug this." The vampire said. And Jingfei did, holding the item to hias chest, quickly sitting with his back to the wall, his arms wrapped around the item.
A cat, in traditional vampire clothing.
