Jingfei calmly began walking out of the restaurant, and into the open space. Jingfei had told both Chan and Ying that he would be out at eight. And though it was only seven thirty, he saw the two leaning on a parked car. If it was theirs or not, they were leaning on it. Jingfei adjusted the bag on his shoulder.
He had told them yesterday that he was going to learn how to hunt. And though Chan was exceptionally happy that he got to come with, Ying was still a little hesitant. "You still seem a little jumpy.." He said. "Are you sure you want to learn?" However, Jingfei was persistent in learning how to hunt. He couldn't just rely on them for all his vampire life, however long that would be.
Jingfei wouldn't lie, was he nervous, yes. Was he excited…. Not that much actually. The only reason that he wanted to do this was that he had another option besides calling Ying or Wei and hope they got here in time. It was a cold night. But, the good part was that it was a cold Friday night. Meaning people would be there. Chan would use the word feast. While Ying would use the word take. Jingfei however?
Well, Jingfei wouldn't say anything.
"Hey.." Jingfei waved calmly, both Ying and Chan looking up. Chan squeals like a little girl, running up to hug Jingfei. "Oh my god, I can't wait to see you feast on someone's blood!" Like he said, Chan would use the word feast. Jingfei froze for a moment, before pushing Chan away. "I'm not feasting on anyone. Shut up." Jingfei muttered, taking a step back from Chan and looking at Ying, who was pulling out a large bag. For a moment, Jingfei didn't understand. But soon, he did.
"Humans can lose at most one and a half liters of blood without dying. So, that is the most you can take from them. They'll be a little delusional, and won't be able to walk straight, but that's only if they wake up and you're still there. Which, rarely happens." Ying holds the giant bag of blood up to Jingfei, who hesitantly takes it. "Drink however much you think one and a half liters is, and I'll test you." Ying's soft smile lowered to a serious one.
"Don't drink more."
Chan stepped in between the two. "He'll be fine." He turned to Jingfei, who was now worried about drinking more than what he was supposed to. "Just try to drink less," Chan said with a smile. Jingfei hesitantly nodded, holding the heavy blood bag up to him. They both stared at him as he lifted the crimson bag up to his mouth, hesitantly drinking the liquid.
Jingfei's body instantly calmed at the taste of the thick liquid, a sweet and sour taste of candy entering his mouth. As sweet as Cherry Jolly Ranchers, yet as sour was Sour Patch Kids. It was delicious. Jingfei sighed, but did as told, with each gulp and each swallow, thinking about how much was left. After another moment or two, Jingfei hesitantly backed up. The bag was lighter, but still had lots of blood left.
Ying looked at the bag, before looking back at Jingfei. He hummed. Just a hum? Did he do it wrong? Did he drink too much, did he drink too little. He licked his teeth hesitantly, cutting it on his sharp canines. He stayed still, not showing his mistake. Chan smiled. "Good job!" CHan cheered, grabbing the bag. He 'weighed' it in his hand,
Ying rolled his eyes, hitting Chan lightly for his over dramatic personality. Ying turned to look at Jingfei, a happy smile now on his face. "Good job." He said happily, clapping his hands softly. It was only one or two, but it was enough to make him smile. Jingfei nodded. "Almost exactly one and a half liters." Chan said, patting JIngfei on the shoulder. He looked like a proud parent. An embarrassing and annoying proud parent. Jingfei barely glanced at him before nodding hesitantly. "Uh.. thanks.." He mumbled.
Ying sighed, barely glancing at his phone, the white screen giving color to his red eyes. He looked back at Jingfei. "Ready to try and hunt?" Jingfei didn't have enough time to give the other an answer. Chan had already pulled him off, Jingfei losing his balance at the sudden tug backwards. Yet, he quickly gained it, turning around to hold Chan's hand. He seemed more excited than usual.
Ying walked slightly behind the two, still on his phone. "So, what's the way you're going to draw them in? Have you thought about it?" Chan asked. Jingfei didn't know exactly where Chan was leading him. It wasn't to his apartment, Jingfei couldn't recognise the street name nor the stores. But he continued to walk.
"Uh…. I'm supposed to draw them in?" Jingfei asked. Ying looked up from his phone, placing it back in his pocket. He walked to the other side of Jingfei. "Just flirt, that's what all of us do. But make sure they aren't too drunk." Jingfei's eyes widened at Chan's blunt statement. Ying looked back at him, before sighing. "This is why I didn't want you to come along." Ying muttered, mostly to himself.
"I need to… flirt..?" Jingfei asked, looking dead at Chan with the weirdest look he could manage. Chan nodded, like it was a common thing to say. "Shall I be more specific?" Chan sighs before continuing. "You need to turn them on enough so that they don't feel the bite. Or like your-" Ying, who has had enough of Chan's descriptions, hit him on the back of the head. Chan's hands quickly went to his head, hissing at the pain. Ying didn't have much of a reaction.
"You don't have to do that." Ying says quickly to Jingfei, before sighing. "I just need to get you into that mindset." Ying muttered softly, once again towards himself. Jingfei was still quiet, but he still nodded.
"What do you mean mindset?"
