Jingfei looked at Kai for a moment, and just for a moment, Jingfei was ready to say yes. The chance that Jingfei will make it back to Wei's place is slim, since Kai lived across town from the vampire. So, was Jingfei really about to risk walking out of Kai's apartment? Wei was probably sleeping, and so was Ying. Jingfei held his hands tightly.
"It's okay. You were going to do it last night, right? I would rather you not bite someone else." Kai explained. Jingfei stared at Kai once more before shaking his head. He wasn't going to bite Kai. He didn't want to hurt him. "No. I'm not going to do that. I'm not going to hurt you." Jingfei said. Kai frowned slightly, folding his arms. He didn't say anything for a moment, but soon he did. "You won't hurt me. I have a feeling that if you walk out that door, you're going to hurt yourself." Kai pointed out. JInfei was still hesitant. He was silent, a shaky breath floating out his mouth. He let go of the doorknob, his head lowered, ashamed.
Kai sat up slightly as Jingfei trailed towards him, his feet barely stepping off the carpet. He stood in front of Kai, his head still lowered, his messy hair hiding his face. "Come here." Kai whispered softly. Jingfei didn't know exactly where to sit, so he sat on Kai's lap, straddling him. "Are you okay?" Kai asked, to which Jingfei softly nodded his head. He leans his head into the crook of Kai's neck. He remembered what Ying had instructed him before.
Jingfei crossed his arms in the alleyway. "So, you just…. Bite them… and that's it?" Jingfei asks. Chan faces palms and shakes his head. "Never do that. Never just bite them. That's gonna hurt. Also, no vampire just bites someone. Unless you're going crazy-" Ying hits Chan on his shoulder before looking over at Jingfei. He felt like he should really be writing notes.
"Don't listen to him. There is a three step process to biting someone. Step one, numbing." Jingfei really did feel like he should be writing notes. He sits on the ground, listening to Ying carefully. "A vampire's saliva can numb a person's skin, as well as heal. So you lick them on the spot you would bite them on, and then bite. After you lick the wound so that it can heal."
Jingfei lightly licks at a spot on Kai's neck, waiting a moment before sighing. "Tell me if you start getting light headed." Jingfei warns, before sinking his teeth into Kai's warm skin. He quickly bites the human before beginning to suck on Kai's skin, warm blood flowing into his mouth.
His blood tasted delicious, like warm rolls straight out the oven. Jingfei instantly calmed, his eyes shutting as he felt Kai's hands go to his waist. The taste of sweet rolls filled his mouth, a comfortable feeling. The iconic ironic taste that hid underneath the sweet rolls calmed Jingfei's once worried mind. For a moment, Jingfei forgot about everything. But soon enough, he remembered what he was doing.
He moved away from Kai's neck, licking the extra blood on the wound, before backing away fully. He looked at Kai, who looked right back at him. "Are you okay now?" Kai asked, his voice soft as if he didn't want others to hear. Jingfei nodded slowly. "Um, yeah. I'm okay. Just, did it hurt?" Jingfei asked worriedly. Kai smiled. "Just a little, but it didn't bother me." Kai informed me. Jingfei sighed a breath of relief.
He laid his head on Kai's shoulder. Slowly, he began to realize how close the two were. He was laying on Kai's shoulder, chest to chest, with only boxers on. He was straddling the guy, with his hands on Jingfei's waist. Jingfei was a vampire. He was very pale. But even then, his face went as red as a cherry.
He quickly hopped from Kai's lap, holding his hands out. "S-SORRY- I DIDN'T REALLY- UH… I- J-JUST….. SO-SORRY!' Jingfei apologized, bowing fully by going onto his knees. He laid his head to the ground. "You like someone… I don't really… wanna…..-" Kai's loud sigh caused Jingfei to look up. He had crossed his legs, and was staring at Jingfei with a bored look. "How did you know I liked someone?" Kai asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Oh uh…. You told me yesterday. You said you liked a guy..΅ Jingfei reminded, his face slowly turning back to normal. Jingfei had a feeling he knew who it was. He had his theory that it was Lin Feng, but true or not, he wouldn't ask Kai. Kai was silent for a moment, before standing. Kai walks away from Jingfei, walking towards his room. JIngfei sighs, covering his face for a moment before standing up fully.
He sat up, reaching over to his phone. As soon as he did so he got whacked with something long and soft. He covered his head, the fabric falling down his side until it reached the couch. Jingfei looked over. It was some black jeans. Jingfei turned around to look at Kai, who was holding different clothing articles. "I don't know if you are small or medium, so I just got medium. Here."
Kai tossed a colorful sweatshirt at Jingfei, who caught it with one hand, the other holding his phone. "If someone saw us, they would think we did more than just have a sleepover." Kai pointed out, beginning to slide on his jeans. Jingfei widened his eyes. "Why would you think like that?" Jingfei mumbled, sliding on the hoodie, sticking one arm in before the other.
Kai hummed, walking into the kitchen. Jingfei's phone buzzed, causing the vampling to look down. He scanned the different digits on the phone screen, not recognising the number. He still, however, answered. "Hello?" Jingfei started, placing the phone next to his ear. He sat back on the couch. "Hey."
Lin Feng.
How did Lin Feng get Jingfei's number? Jingfei was never close to the guy, and rarely shared a shift with him. He didn't mind the other getting his number, he was just curious. Kai for sure would never give Lin Feng his number. The only reason why Jingfei had Kai's number was for schedule. Well, not anymore.
"Oh.. Lin Feng. Hey-" Jingfei's coworker sighed dramatically, as if he was bored. He was the one that called! He could feel Kai look over at him curiously at the familiar name. "Listen, when's your next shift?" Lin Feng asked, his voice bored and annoyed. Jingfei frowned slightly. "It's today, at eight." Lin Feng's next words were quick. "Okay, cool. I'll go then too."
And with that, he hung up.
Jingfei slowly lowered his phone, looking at the call ended screen. "Oh, uh…. Okay." Jingfei mumbled. He tossed his phone off the couch and sighed, shrugging off the entire conversation. "What happened?" Kai asked, looking through his fridge. Jingfei grabbed his jeans. "Uh, Lin Feng called. He wanted to know when my next shift.I guess he wanted to work the same time as me."
Jingfei could understand why. The last time they worked together, Jingfei almost killed someone. It was nice to have Lin Feng there, so that was probably why he wanted to work with Jingfei. He probably just wanted to protect the recently turned human. Kai's face turned to a frown for a split second, before it turned neutral once again.
"Cool. I'm hungry, do you have dino nuggets at your place?"
