Wei froze, staring at the out of breath Adeline. He walked up to her, placing a hand on her shoulder. "What do you mean he was captured?" Yuao was equipped with both a gun and great fighting abilities, Wei knew. Yuao couldn't have been captured that easily. Was it a guard? Someone of the royal family? The emperor himself?
Adeline sucked in a much needed breath, before looking at Wei. "He got captured by some guards. There were multiple of them. They just all attacked him and took him somewhere." Wei could tell Adeline was slightly scared, the commander was captured, now what? Wei tapped his foot on the ground, thinking of a way to save Yuao.
"I know where they're taking him. Don't hurt my sisters or my brothers, and I'll tell you where they are and what they are going to do with your commander." Fuquan said out of the blue, looking up at both Wei and Adeline. Wei looked back at Chan, and he seemed to sharply nod his head. They didn't plan on hurting the royal family, nor the concubines. They simply needed the emperor and some of his nobles dead.
"Fine. Tell us, now."

Wei's and Chan's footsteps were quick. The plan was similar, but there was a slight difference. Wei was breathless as he ran down the repetitive halls, different morals on the floors and ceilings. "Come on…" He whispered. A vampling, young, walked down the halls. Wei and Chan stopped, both staring at the vampling. It stared right back at them.
"Come." Chan said directly to the vampling, to which the vampling began walking to booth Chan and Wei. Once the vampling was close enough, Chan said his next words carefully. 'Don't moveChan voiced as Wei grabbed the Coup De Sang from the vampires neck, only for the vampire to grab his hand sharply. It looked at him with angered eyes, as if it was ready to attack Wei, all to protect this jewel.
Wei slowly let go, looking up at Chan. Adeline was right. They listen to Elders, but can defy them slightly. Wei sighed, shaking his head. "I'm sorry." Wei apoligised quickly, before grabbing his gun just as quick, pointing it to the vampling in front of him and shooting. He was sorry. The bullet wasn't going to kill the vampire. Bullets don't kill, yet they do injure.
The vampling fell back, giving Wei enough time to yank the crystal from its neck. That's one. They needed all the vampling's Pyropes. Adeline said that they had made a mistake, and they did. But as long as they can get all the pyrope, they'll be fine. Wei looked down at the unconscious vampire. "Come on." Chan huffed, continuing to walk. Wei sighed and walked with the Elder.
The Elysium. That's what they were looking for. The Garden Of Elysium. That was a plan the capital guards and the emperor had had for a very long time. Take the vampire Elysium, and kill them. That is if vampires try to take of the capital;. Which is what Wei and Chan are doing right now. They make it to a door at the end of the hall, light flowing through the crack in the door.
The Garden Of Elysium. There it was. Wei looked over at Chan, nodded his head, and lifted him gun. Chan grabbed the door, his gun in his hand as well. They open the door swiftly, the bright sunlight flowing into the candle lit palace. Wei walked in, the floors changing to stone, with wood arched above his head, beautiful flowers hanging over him.
The hanging flowers blocked out all of the sunlight, instead the sunlight coming from a colosseum like entrance. Wei looked up, admiring the flowers for a brief moment, before beginning his search. "Hello?" Wei called, walking down the hall of flowers. "SNAKE!" Someone yelled. It was Yuao. Wei ran towards the exit.
The small hall of flowers led to a large circle, filled with flowers and stone paths. There stood in the middle was the emperor, in blue and gold. Yuao sat in front of him, his dog mask taken off and forgotten on his side. He was on his knees, his arms tied behind his back, with a shimmering knife placed at his neck. Knife hurt vampires like bullets do, they don't.
Wei scanned the are. No one else was there, only Emperor Shunzhi stood there, holding the knife at his neck. Why didn't Yuao just stand and fight the guard. Even if he was tied up, Yuao could at least get away, right? Shunzhi smiled with his old face when he saw Wei and Chan. "Oh, I see your friends have come to save you. It's a sad thing that they can't." Shunzhi said, his voice shaky. He was scared, even though he acted like he wasn't. That made Wei smile.
"Which one of you are the commander of the vampires." Yuao shook in his grip. "I am!" Yuao huffed out an angered yell, only for Shunzhi to scoff. "You were way too easy to capture, unless-" Wei took a step forward, ready to lie and say he was, but Chasn placed a hand on his chest, stepping up himself.
He walked further into the light, holding his head up high. He bowed to the emperor in front of him, crossing his legs politely. "Emperor Shunzhi, it's very nice to meet you after such a long time." Chan stated politely , slowly raising his body once again. Shunzhi stared at Chan with a confused look, as Chan smiled. "You're the commander?"
Chan smirked, softly nodding his head. "Yes. And I would like you to release my friend, please." Chan said, only walking closer. Shunzhi didn't say anything for a moment, only rolling his eyes. "What is that around your neck? Is that what makes you monsters walk in the sun?" Shunzhi grumbled, gripping the knife harder. Chan nodded his head again. "Yes it is."
"Then take it off, and I'll let your friend go."
The entire garden was silent, everyone watching Chan worryingly. Chan himself was silent, not saying anything for a moment. Chan didn't to anything, nor did he say anything, instead he just stared at emperor. His hands slowly raised, going to the back of his neck where the clip hung. Wei and Yuao yelled at the same time. "TIGER!" THe two yelled in fear, as Chan unclipped his necklace.
Wei quickly lifted his gun to Shunzhi's head, shooting it quickly, before Chan hissed in pain as his whole body began to burn like meat. Wei ran towards the Elder, grabbing his arm and yanking him into the shadows. Chan fell to the ground, simply standing out for some seconds causing his skiing to burn and bloody. Wei scanned Chan's body before swearing to himself.
Chan laughed softly. "We did it." Chan cheered happily, shutting his eyes, only knee bent while the other stayed straight. Wei didn't say anything, going back out to get Yuao. Wei quickly untied Yuao, before grabbing Chan's fallen Pyrope crystal. "Thanks." Yuao sighed, crossin g his arms. "We need to be careful. The humans found a way to kill vampires. They can make weapons coated with silver can hurt vampires." Yuao informed while the two walked over to Chan. "I told you to not do anything reckless." Wei huffed, placing the necklace back on Chan, who laughed, ignoring all of Wei's words.
"It's not the year of the dog anymore." Chan smiled, looking over at Wei and Yuao, who stared at him. Chan was obviously in pain from the multiple burns, yet he hid it under happiness. The wars were over, after all. "Then what is it?" Yuao asked, crossing his arms. Chan shut his eyes, a happy smile still on his face.
"It's the year of the vampires."
