"What you all are saying is complete nonsense." Yuao stated, sitting down in his seat. "Each one of your theories is based on another's. The chance that someone found out about Coup De Sang is zero." Yuao stated, seeming mad about the situation. Chan frowned. But come on, Yuao. You can't just ignore the hit on Jingfei. Even if it had nothing to do with Coup De Sang, some Elder went after Jingfei, we can't forget about that." Chan pointed out defensively.
Yuao frowned whilst looking up at his friend of many years. "Why do you think it's a vampling." Yuao turned to Jingfei and Lin Feng, who were both listening in on the conversation. "Was there any distinguishing traits that the vampire showed?" Yuao asked politely, as Jingfei raked his mind of any possible answers, but when he couldn't find any, he shook his head.
Yuao smiled, turning back around to Chan, his smile fading. But Jingfei saw it. "I have a feeling that the vampire went after Jingfei for another reason. What the reason was, I don't know." Yuao sighed, crossing his arms. The whole room was silent as each person thought through Yuao's claims.
The Elder wasn't wrong about one thing, they weren't building their claims off of fact. They were building it off of unsturdy theories. Jingfei didn't know if the vampire was a vampling, nor did he know if the girl even had on a necklace similar to Jingfei's. Yuao's was the most reasonable, which made Jingfei believe it slightly more.
"Do you think I could have hurt someone?" Jingfei asked, as Ying quickly shook his head. "No, you didn't. You didn't attack anyone, human nor vampire. You have no enemies. I made sure of that." Ying said quickly. Yuao scoffed and smiled. "Ying? Are you his proctrice?" Yuao asked, crossing his arms. Jingfei could feel the slow tension in the room, causing him to diffuse the worrying situation.
"Yeah, he is. And he's really good!" JIngfei said happily, Yuao turning his eyes to Jingfei, his bright red. "If only he could be better.." Yuao clicked his tongue softly, standing up. "Come on, Lin Feng. I have more to teach. And I don't want you a target. Let's go." Yuao said calmly, as Lin Feng furrowed his eyebrows. "What, why? I want to stay with Jingfei. And I won't become a target." Lin Feng countered.
Yuao sighed, turning around to look at the vampling. He didn't glare at Lin Feng, nor did he do anything. He only said one word. "Come." And with that Lin Feng stood quickly, walking to Yuao, not looking back for a moment. Jingfei watched his friend leave before sighing. Guess the two won't be going to work tonight. "Ugh." Ying sighed, turning to look at Jingfei. "Don't go near Lin Feng or Yuao. I have a bad feeling about him." Ying grumbled. Chan held Ying's arm, giving the vampire a saddened look. "Yuao is fine. Just because you don't like him doesn't mean he's evil." Chan pointed out. Jingfei wasn't shocked Chan was sticking up for Yuao, they were friends after all.
Yang stood up, sitting beside Jingfei, who had a sad look on his face. He liked hanging around Lin Feng. "You wanna go play video games. I can move the PS5 to your room, since you hav a nicer tv." Yang offered with a smile. JIngfei sighed, but nodding. It seemed better than having to deal with all this stuff. He was still learning how to hunt, and all of a sudden vampires are hunting after him.
Jingfei just wanted his life to be normal again. "Yeah.. " Jingfei frowned sitting up. Jingfei could feel the other's eyes on him as he walked up the stairs, but he didn't care so much. He helped Yang lift the PS5, taking it to his room, where the empty bed sat. "Ugh, their all so annoying." Yang sighed, flopping onto Jingfei's bed. Jingfei quietly watched Yang, seeing the boy turn his head to look at Jingfei. "All they talk about is being vampires and serious stuff." Yang huffed, hisd white hair getting messed up on the white bed sheets, but he didn't seem to mind.
It seemed Yang knew exactly how the boy felt, since he rubbed his eyes, continuing his monologe. "I don't understand how they can just only talk about vampire stuff. Chan used to tell me all the fun stuff he did when he was a human that he doesn't do now." Yang muttered, running to lay on his back. Jingfei continued to watch him.
"It's like they became a vampire they stopped doing the things they loved. Being a vampire took up their whole life." Yang turned his head to Jingfei once again, giving the vampling a smile. "I'm not going to let that happen to you though." Yang said happily. Jingfei smiled back. Yang was right. Once Jingfei became a vampire, benign a vampire became his whole life. And it was terrible. Maybe that's what he needed. A day with Yang."
"What were some things that the others did when they were human?" Jingfei asked, as Yang slowly sat up. Yang was quiet for a moment, thinking, before smiling. "I know Ying played the bass. I heard he was really good at it. Ying and Wei don't talk about being human often, and whenever I ask they tend to stay quiet. But Chant tells me stuff. Chan said he used to be a farmer, but he worked his way up at a young age to become a noble."
Jingfei nodded his head curiously. He could see Chan boeing a farmer. He has the build for it, and seemed like he knew a lot. Maybe that's why he knew how to stay happy all the time. "How old is Chan?" Jingfei asked curiously, Yang taking a second to think.
"I don't know. Whenever I ask him he says he doesn't remember."
