Ying's walk to the office was both worrying and annoying. It's been only a couple of days since he had been turned, and though he had somewhat gotten used to the smell of blood, it was still an agitating thing. Today he didn't walk in with a roll of fabric in his hands, instead he walked in with a sketch. The man might have turned Ying into a vampire, but he still needed a necklace for his friend, to which he now knows as the idiot named Chan.
Yuao looked up at the sound of the bell ringing as Ying entered the building. 'Where have you been? SIck?" Yuao jokes. Ying doesn't laugh, instead walking up to the desk. "How many meters of black silk and black lace do we have?" He asks, looking over the table to Yuao's desk. The man looks up at Ying strangely, before humming.
"Your one of us now I see." Yuao stated casually, flipping through pages in his book. Ying looked over at the man. His red eyes. Yuao was a vampire all this time? How could Ying not notice that? "Uh.. yeah. Guess I am.." Ying laughs awkwardly, but Yuao doesn't. "Can I ask who turned you?" Yuao asked, before stopping at a page. He skims his pen over the different black fabrics.
"Er.. a friend." Ying stated simply. Yuao looked up at him curiously. "A friend? Ying, I've been a vampire for a long time. I can teach you how to hunt better than anyone before. I can teach you how to kill a person and be silent. I can teach you-" Ying stops him, placing a hand in front of the others face. "Why would I want to know any of that?" Ying asks.
Yuao laughs softly, leaning back in his chair. "Because my old friends were boring. They were always the good guys. But vampires, Ying, vampires can't be the good guys. It's impossible. We're too evil for that. So since we're already the bad guy, since our fate has already been determined, how about we just have fun. That's why, Ying." Yuao explained with a smile. Ying didn't smile back.
It kind of made Ying sad. How his bestfriend over the past year, was willing to teach Ying how to commit murder. Ying stared at Yuao with an unimpressed expression. "I think Wei is doing a good job." Ying pointed out casually. Yuao smiled. "Wei.. I know him. You think he's good?" Yuao leaned into Ying's ear. "He's killed and hypnotized vampires to hunt and kill humans, Ying. You think he's any better than me. Trust me, I can teach you the things that you need to learn." Yuao said with a smile. Ying didn't smile back.
"I'm sure, somehow Yuao, you've done worse." The bell rang, causing Ying to turn around. He saw Chan, holding a piece of paper in his hands. He looked over at Yuao and smiled. "Your back?" Chan asked hopefully. They knew each other. Yuao, in an instant, smiled. He nodded his head, standing up. The two hugged, before Yuao said, "It's been such a long time. I'm happy I'm back." Yuao laughed. Chan shoved him lightly. "Yeah. I didn't know you and Ying worked together. Wei is his protectrice." Chan informed happily. Yuao smiled and nodded. "I heard. It's time he taught someone." Yuao laughed.
Ying stared at the two vampires in front of him. It seemed in an instinct, Yuao had become friends, laughing along with Chan like he hadn't said a mockery of the vampires. Ying was quiet, not knowing what to say to either of them. Should he say nothing at all? "What about you, loser? You've been gone for hundreds of years. Then pop up at a designer store?" Chan pointed out. Yuao shrugged. "I've came out of hiding in the second year. Guess we just run into each other now."
Ying sighed, rubbing the sketchpad's cover with his thumb. Chan looked over at him. "Ying, you forgot this." Chan said with a smile, handing him a cut out sketch. It was a sketch of gloves, made with silver lace. It was just one of those ideas that Ying probably won't have time to create. Ying smiled, taking the sketch. "Thanks." Ying muttered. Chan frowned. "You okay?" Chan asked, to which Ying shrugged. "I'll be fine. Chan, you should go. I need to get some stuff sewed. I'll see you later." Ying mumbled.
Chan's face showed he was worried, but he sighed and nodded. He waved to Yuao, before walking out the store. Ying barely glanced at Yuao, before making his way to his office. But before he was there, Yuao grabbed his arm, yanking him around to face the other vampire. "I have created a jewel that's better than that." Yuao smiles, pointing to Ying's Pyrope jewel that Wei had given him. "It can make you faster and stronger than any vampire around. Just follow my lead, and I'll teach you-"
"I'm putting in my two weeks notice now." Ying huffed, yanking his hand away. Yuao looked shocked. "Your quitting? Why? Are you going to work at a different company?" Yuao asked, and for a slight moment Ying saw his best friend for the past year. Only for a slight moment. "No. I think I'm going to stop designing for now. I have more important things to focus on." Ying sighs. Yuao continued giving him a concerned look. "But you love designing, are you going to continue it one day?"
"No. I don't think I will."
