Chapter 77: The Truth

Yang walked with his hands swinging around, like he hadn't just figured out who had been killing all the vampires. Yuao wasn't much of a threat anymore, was he? They knew who he was, knew that he was dangerous, nothing bad will happen. Yang casually looked over at Jingfei, seeing the boy hugging himself, playing with the Tanzanite necklace on his neck.

Yang thought it was somewhat stupid for Ying to allow Jingfei to wear the necklace. He understood that Jingfei cared a lot about the necklace, even though he had only had it for less than a week. But still, that necklace basically makes JIngfei the most powerful vampire in the world. And Yang is here to protect him from any threats. This was psycho behavior.

"I see you like that necklace." Yang pointed out, ready to tease the vampling. The silence started to get on Yang's nerves. Jingfei looked over in smiled. "Yeah. It's pretty." Jingfei mumbled. Yang gagged. Ugh, true love. It honestly want to make him throw up. "The cheesiness of your words is disgusting." Yang said, gagging once more. Jingfei rolled his eyes. "Stop acting liike a five-year old." Jingfei says sarcastically.

Yang widened his eyes. "I'm not a five-year old!" Yang yelled defensively. Jingfei looked over with a smile. "You sure act like one though." Jingfei says, before patting Yang's head. Yang pushed him away, walking slightly faster than the vampling, but it seemed Jingfei didn't have a problem matching his pace. "You know, I'm curious about something.." Jingfei starts. Yang looked over, huffed, before turning to look at the street. Jingfei continued.

"You and Chan seem so close. HOw long did you guys know each other? I know it's been a long time, and you live with him. But.. how did you guys meet?" Jingfei asked, Yang slowing down his pace for the question. He sighed. Wei and Ying are the only two that know how hi and Chan met. Not necessarily because it was embarrassing, or Yang didn't want anyone to know, but he trusted the two.

And he trusts Jingfei. Besides, Jingfei and him are like brothers. Partners in crime. All that involves trust, doesn't it? It would be terrible to not tell Jingfei something this important to him. Yang looks over at the vampling. "He lived in the pent house above my family's apartment. My parents wanted to sell me because they desperately needed money. I guess with his super hearing he heard what was happening, and bought me for a lot of money." Yang explained softly.

Jingfei gasped, his eyes wide. "He bought you? Like a slave?!" JIngfei asked. Yang shrugged his shoulders, thinking for a moment, before shaking his head. "The only way my parents would give me to him is if he paid. So he did. A lot of money. And right after he went to buy me toys. He asked what was one thing I wanted to do, and I told him to dye my hair white. So he did that as well." Yang continued. Jingfei laughed, reaching over to fluff Yang's hair. "I see you kept the style." Jingfei pointed out with a smile.

Yang shook his white hair, before combing it behind his face. As the two walked, Yang thought back to that moment. He was young, only six years old. He didn't remember much, and he barely remembered his parents faces. Chan always gave them the benefit of the doubt. "They yelled at me. Told me to make sure you were always healthy and safe and to never hurt you. They made me promise, Yang. And I did. I don't know if I kept that promise, but I try." He always says that whenever Yang huffs about his parents selling him. That was the one thing him and Chan would disagree on.

Jingfei walked into the house, Yang behind him. "That's terrible." JIngfei sighs. Yang laughs softly, shutting the door behind himself. It seemed the apartment was empty for a moment, before Bambang's came into view, his door slightly cracked with music playing softly. "You want some food?" JIngfei asked, looking in the fridge. Yang wasn't hungry, so he shook his head. "Do you? I rather you not try to attack someone." Yang joked. Jingfei rolled his eyes, sitting on the counter, similar to Ying. "Eh, I'm good. Lin Feng lended me some of his." Jingfei said with a smile. Yang looked curiously at the vampling. "Where do you think Lin Feng get's his blood from?" Yang asked. Before JIngfe could answer, Bambang's door opened, revealing the brown-haired boy in pajamas. Yang couldn't tell if Bambang glared at him or just ignored him, Yang had looked down at the floor. "Bambang, we know who was killing all those people." Jingfei said quickly at the sight of his roommate, hopping off the counter.

When Yang looked up, Bambang was looking towards Jingfei, a dim smile on his face. "Yeah, I know. I got the scoop from Chan." Bambang sighed. Bitterness rose to Yang's mouth, making the boy whisper. "Of course you did." Yang huffed, rolling his eyes. Bambang looked over at him, a bored expression on his face. "You got something to say, water-boy? Shouldn't you be cheering on your vampire friends or something like that?" Bambang asked, crossing his arm.

Water-boy?

Fine.
