Chapter 80: The Game

Bambang casually lays on his bed. Jingfei and Yang have been relaxing for the past couple of hours in the living room, giving Bambang time to himself. That is, before he got a call. He was silent, looking down at the number. "Of course.." Bambang mumbled to himself before answering. He didn't say a hello, instead waiting for the other to talk.

"Bambang.. I have a question.." Chan asked hopefully, his voice slightly giddy. Bambang, once again didn't say anything, instead letting the other take over the conversation. "So… I might have gotten myself into a little sticky situation.." Bambang sighed. Chan needed rescuing, of course. Ironically, he needed saving from a vampire hunter. More ironically, Bambang stood up to slide some shoes on."Lemme guess.. A hunter?" Bambang asked sarcastically.

He already knew the answer to his question. "Uh… I don't think so. It's a vampire.." Bambang stood up straight. A vampire? Why would a vampire be chasing Chan? Even then, Chan was an elder, shouldn't he be smart enough to stop it. Bambang and Chan have already fought against tens of vampires, just one should be easy to handle. Unless..

"Is it one of Yuao's vampires?" Bambang asked hesitantly. Chan had an instant answer. "Yes.. or no. I can't tell. Pyrope with mercury looks the exact same as normal Pyrope. You can only tell up close. And this vampire… I don't want to get close to me." Bambang was silent, before going to his closest. He quickly unhooked the silver box, prying it to reveal various weapons. From guns to knives to crossbows.

He grabbed his hunter suit, which including a black leather suit with armor padding on the joints, and goggles. He also had a waist belt, sliding on a pistol and multiple knives of various uses. He then grabs some silver rope, before he had a different plan than just to kill the vampire. That would be too easy. "Is it a vampling?" Bambang asked, to which Chan hummed. "Yeah, definitely a vampling." Chan's voice was unsettled from his footsteps, yet he still sounded as calm as the wind, as if he's been chased by one of these monsters before. Well, technically, he has once, hasn't he.

Bambang walked out of his room, the sun starting to set. Of course Chan had to be chased then. His boots clicked on the wooden floors, causing both Yang and Jingfei to turn around. "Woah.. you look sick.." Jingfei complimented. Bambang barely glanced over at the boy before nodding. "Look under the couch, you should see a specialized pistol. Give it to me." He didn't exactly know what Coup De Sang does to vampires, but he had a feeling.

If normal vampires slow down when hit with normal bullets,

Then Coup De Sang vampires slow down when hit with silver.

Such an unlucky thing to deal with.

Yang was confused for a moment before reaching under the couch, where he grabbed a metallic pistol, coating with silver. "Woah.." Yang mumbled. Bambang grabbed the gun, before looking over at Yang strictly. "Your under Jingfei watch, okay? Because of what happened earlier i have placed weapons under the handles in the kitchen. If this is a distraction, which I'm praying it's not, you two both have to be on guard. And if anything really bad happens, barricade yourselves in my room. I have a lot more weapons in there." Bambang instructed quickly.

Jingfei looked slightly worried. "Are you going to…. Hunt vampires?" Jingfei asked with a mumbled. Bambang sharply shook his head. "Chan is being followed by a vampire, I believe its one of Yuao's. So I need to go help him or else he might be another victim. Call Wei if you guys really do think something might go wrong. Okay?" Bambang stated, as Chan's voice ran through the phone. "Uh… I think I have a new problem." Not now.

"What is it now?" Bambang asked, as he slid the shotgun-like pistol into his hollister. "There's two of them.." Chan said, his voice breathy. Yang gave him a worried look. JBambang looked away. "I'm going now. Where are you?" Bambang asked, walking over to the door. Before he did, Yang said soft words. "Be careful." Yang worried. Bambang sighed, shortly nodding his head before walking out the door, shutting it behind him.

As soon as he walked out, he saw Chan, somewhat far away. He was somewhat far, yet no where near far enough for Bambang to not see him. And running close behind the vampire, was two. Bambang quickly pulled out his scoped gun, running down the steps. Chan wasn't running onthe street, instead running in the shadows, which made it slightly harder for Bambang too see.

Both the vamplings behind him was running at full speed, his house far away. Bambang clicked his tongue, lifting the scope to his eyes He placed the gun at the center of the vampires head, using the distance between them to move his gun the short distances as the vamplings ran far. He thought for a moment. Don't kill it… He sighed, lowering the gun to the vampire's adbomen. He shut one eye, biting his tongue slightly. The sun behind him shown brightly on the vamplings.

Bambang's finger pulled the black trigger, the gun jerking back at the force. THe silver bullet cut through the tense hair, as the sound seeming the catch all the vampires off guard. But one, fell to the ground. Not dead, but injured for sure. At frist he was going to wrapped the vampire up in silver rope, before he remembered the other one chasing Chan.

Bambang grabbed his rifle, using the green laser to mark the vampire. That was easy, but the hard part was killing it. Both vampires ran quicker than some cars, and Bambang knew he wouldn't be able to catch either of them. He went back to his phone. "Chan?" Bambang asked. He could see the man grab his phone. "I'm here. Did you kill the last one?" Chan asked. Bambang looked over at the vampire that was clutching it's stomach.

"No. It's not dead. I need you to circle the other over to me. I'll give you a gun, you have to shoot it. You two are going way too fast for me." He could hear Chan groan dramatically, but soon enough, out in the distance, he could see Chan turning around, the vampire doing the same. It

was much closer than before, but Bambang got ready for them. He took out a simple gun, one for beginner hunters. He didn't know how good or bad Chan would be with guns. He loaded the gun with three silver bullets, coated with acid.

He cocked the gun, so all Chan needed to do was to aim and shoot. He placed the barrel pointed towards him, the handle pointed out for Chan to grab. Chan looked over and nodded at him. He was yanked slightly forward when Chan grabbed the weapon, before regaining his balance. He moved back before the vampire could hit him, before watching closely, praying Chanwill shoot well.

Bambang watched as Chan stopped running, quickly aiming the gun at the vampire and shooting. Bambang couldn't see the bullet, but he could see the vampire's reaction. It fell back onto the hard concrete. Chan continued to point the gun at the vampire, expecting it to pop back up. But it didn't, instead laying on the ground. "Did you kill it?" Bambang asked, walking up to the two. Chan shook his head, reaching down to yank the necklace off it's neck.

He placed it close to his eyes before sighing. "Yep. Coup De Sang.." Chan sighed. Bambang crouched down, opening the vampire's eyes. They were still a vibrant red. "It's alive, so it'll be fine." Bambang confirmed, looking up at Chan. "So, he tried to go after you head on? Why? It's obvious that you would have survived it.." Bambang mumbled. Chan shrugged. "Maybe to see if I would survive. He obviously tried. He sent two after me instead of one-"

As Bambang looked up he saw the vampire he had shot prior, one hand over it's stomach, while the other reaching out for Chan. Bambang was quick, snatching the gun and cocking it, shooting the vampire right over Chan's head. Right into the neck. The vampire fell back, rolling over for a moment before it's body disintegrated into a dark cloud, floating upwards towards the sky. Bambang sighed, lowering the gun.

Chan looked back, and seeing nothing he sighed. The vampire in front of them groaned, his eyes fluttering open. It looks around, and seeing Bambang and Chan it scoots away from both. Chan was quick. "It's okay. We aren't going to hurt you." Chan stated softly. The vampling stared at him with fearful eyes. "Where's Yuao?" The vampire asks, looking around. Bambang stared at the vampire. Getting his silver rope ready. "He's not here. What did he do to you?"

The vampire turns to Bambang, quickly grabbing one of Bambang's guns. Bambang was quick to move away, but the vampire was slightly faster. He grabs a gun, placing it to his head. THe problem was the gun he had grabbed was coated with silver. Bambang didn't recognise it at first, since the vampling didn't he flinch, but then he did.

"Silver. The gun has silver on it. Drop it-" "Let me go! You're with him! He made me kill people! I'm a murderer!" The man yelled. Somehow.. In some way… the vampling in front of him reminded Bambang of Jingfei. Someone that couldn't think of hurting someone, was now forced to do it everyday. Bambang knew that the vampires that had taught Jingfei, only taught him only good things. But this vampire didn't seem so lucky.

Bambang could see the burns growing on the man's hand. He wasn't immune to silver. It was hurting him. Chan and Bambang watched in silence. "I'm a murderer because of you. I just wanted to be happy. Now I'm a murderer!" The loud sound of a pistol rang through Bambang's ears. He watched as the vampire fell, the gun dropping to the ground. Bambang didn't know what to do.

"Come on.." Chan sighed, beginning to walk away. Bambang, however, stood as still as the wind.
