Chapter 81: The Game

Bambang shut the door behind himself. "Is that what you always wear to hunt? How do you get people to trust you? You look like the asian version of Black Widow." Chan pointed out simply, sitting on the couch. Bambang was silent for a moment before answering. "I wear normal clothes over this." Chan looked up at the hunter with a concerned look.

"Are you okay?" Chan asked, concern in his voice. Bambang's lips went to a line, before nodding. "I'm fine." Bambang answered shortly, sitting down next to the vampire. He crossed his arms as Chan laid his head on Bambang's shoulder. Bambang had let him for a moment, before remembering what he said to Yang. He quickly shrugged Chan off. Chan turned to him with mock hurt. The elder grabbed Bambang's waist pulling him closer. "You seem mad.. What's wrong?" Diversion. Bambang needed a diversion.

"Are you apart of the Cinq Masque?" Bambang asked quickly. Chan stayed quiet for a moment, before moving his hands away. "Why would you think that?" Chan asked, turning to look at him. Bambang shrugged. "It was the question I wanted to ask you. I have a feeling you would have recognised me if I have talked to you before, which I haven't. So are you Tiger?" Bambang asked again. Chan stared at him with a blank expression.

From his expression, Bambang had an answer. Bambang grinned. "DId you veto the law about the whole vampires can kill other vampires?" Bambang asked. Chan continued to stare at him. Chan was Tiger. It made sense. He was a popular elder. He knew about the council. And he's a good vampire. It made sense for him to be apart of the Cinq Masque.

"Uh.. yeah. I did. I don't know about Snake or Horse. But now there are only four, but I know Snake is reasonable, so that will be enough. Let's just hope he vetos it by the end of the day." Chan sighed. Bambang smiled. Bambang wouldn't lie, he could see Chan in the golden tiger mask that hid his eyes.

"But that's not important. WHy are you acting all sad and depressing?" Chan asked, crossing his arms. He began to smile at Bambang, which made the hunter worried. "Were you expecting more than a conversation when I took you here?" Chan continued, lifting an eyebrow. Bambang stared at him with an annoyed look. "I hate you. So much." Bambang was honestly starting to believe that statement. He really did hate Chan.

"Love you too. Do you think Yang bought chicken nuggets?" Chan asked, quickly focusing on something. Bambang watched the vampire stand up, beginning to walk to the kitchen. "You depend on Yang, don't you?" Bambang ask, watching Chan look through the kitchen. Chan quickly nodded his head. "I love Yang. He's the best." Chan said with a smile, grabbing a bag of chicken nuggets.

Bambang smiled for a moment. "You love him? Then why am I here?" Bambang asked, walking over to Chan. Chan shrugged casually. "I do. He's like…. I don't know. He's just nice and sweet." Bambang hummed, nodding his head. "Do you.. Love him? Like love love..?" Bambang asked. Chan looks over as Bambang, shaking his head. "I'm not answering that question.." Chan said simply.

Bambang didn't know if he was supposed to take that as a yes or no. "Why? Come on… I'm serious." Bambang said with the cutest pouty face he could. It was ironic that they were talking about someone that Chan might like. "Why would you be asking a question like that?" Chan asked. It was obvious he was avoiding the question. But for what? Bambang sighed. "I'm just curious. You two seem close. But, maybe you don't. I don't know." Bambang shrugged casually, as Chan took out the nuggets from the freezer.

He didn't say anything, making the apartment go silent. Bambang sighed. Really? The silent treatment? Chan was worse than Yang. "You know that'll make you sick. And Yang wouldn't like that." Bambang pointed out. He couldn't care less if Chan got sick on the couch. But Yang would give him a fit if he let Chan get sick. "But feeding is sooo hardddd.." Chan whined, twirling his feet to look at Ryan. He stared at Bambang for a moment, before smiling. "Well…. Unless I can feed on you?" Chan asked with a hopeful expression.

No. Hell no. "Why would I allow you to do something like that? I'm a hunter. So no-'' Chan gave him the saddest look he could manage, which barely moved Bambang. Barely. "But please! It won't hurt! It feels just as good as-" Bambang lifted his hand, not wanting to hear anymore of Chan's words. Bambang only gave him a dead look. "Please, Bambang? Pretty please?" Chan begged, right at Bambang's serious face. Bambang stood still for a moment before sighing, shaking his head. "Fine, fine."

Chan seemed to run so quickly to Bambang, sitting on the couch. As the day darkened even further, the sun finally saying it's last words of dusk, Chan leaned on Bambang's shoulder. Bambang gave him the side eye. "You'll enjoy it. When have I ever lied to you." Chan asked, looking over at Bambang and smiling.
