Chapter 89: The Lies

Jingfei knocks softly on Yang's door, but as he hears a crash he opens it. Bright light flooded the room from the opened window. No… not opened. The window was broken. Glass shimmered on wooden floor as Lin Feng and Jingfei stood in shook. At first it seemed that Yang must have broken the glass, but based on Yang's face, he was in just as much shock as the other vamplings.

Yang reached down to grab the item that was thrown through the window, when his necklace hung out. It was white and in the shape of a circle. "Did Yuao gave you that necklace?" Jingfei asked softly. Yang grabbed the red brick, standing up. He only nodded, before continuing to look at the brick. As he turned it around, he saw how phone, taped to the back. It was cracked from the throw, but it had a sticky note attached to the screen.

Yang looked up withw orry in his eyes. "The hour before dusk? When is that?" Yang asked as Jingfei pulled out his phone. "Okay, Google. When does the sun set today?" Jingfei asked. The chinese robotic voice quickly responded. "At five fifty-seven." The robot answered. Lin Feng sighed. "Five hours. We have five hours." Lin Feng sighs, sitting down on Lin Feng's bed. They had fives hours to prepare to fight Yuao. It made Jingfei's stomach twist into knots. Lin Feng's phone buzzed from his pocket, causing the vampling to grab it. The vampling's eyes widened as he saw the message. He stood up, walking to the window. Jingfei watched as Lin Feng leaned his head out the window. Though he quickly pushed himself back inside, right before a loud gunshot echoed throughout the area.

"Yuao.." Lin Feng whispered. Yet neither Jingfei nor Yang looked out the window. "Yuao has a gun pointed upward. No one go near that window." Lin Feng whispers. Jingfei's eyes widen as he looks over to Lin Feng. "Was he trying to kill you?" Jingdfei asked. Lin Feng sighed out a shallow breath before nodding. Yang stood up, walking towards the door. However, before he could open it, Ying walked inside. "I just heard a gunshot-" Ying stopped talking when he saw the broken window. "What happened..?" Ying asked.

"Yuao's outside. He threw a brick into my room with a note. He wants our best fighters to fight against him. But Ying you know that's unfair he knows about crystals and we don't!" Yang stated. Ying sighed, looking down at the floor. "Let me see where Wei is.." Ying mumbled. Jingfei quickly stood up. He wans't going to actually fight against Yuao, was he? "Ying, come on. Be rational." Jingfei mumbled. But Ying only shook his head. "When does he want us to go?" Ying asked. Jingfei stared at him in shock, tears threatening to spill. "Ying, you're not actually going to-" Ying gave him a look that told him to shut up. Jingfei reluctantly did.

"I don't know where. But he wants to do it at five pm. Today." Yang mumbled. Ying sighed, shaking his head. "Of course dusk. If he dies then his law dies with him." Ying whispers to himself. He looks up at the three worried vamplings. "Go down stairs." Ying mutters, Yang grabbing onto Jingfei and Lin Feng's hands and pulling them down the stairs. Bambang and Chan sat on the stairs, looking up at them as they walked down. "Is everything alright?" Chan asked worriedly. Jingfei frowned at him. "No. Yuao wants to fight to the ddeath and Ying thinks iot's a good idea." Ying walked behind them down the stairs. "I didn't say it was a good idea. I just think it's the best shot we have." Ying looked up at Chan, who gave him both a hesitant and worried nod. "Yuao doesn't like to pull tricks. I wouldn't be shocked if all he wanted was a normal fight."

JIngfei silently played with his crystal on his neck. "It's still unfair. He knows way more about crystals then us." Yang huffs. JIngfei sat in silence, watching small rainbows form with the blue heart. That's when Jingfei remembered something. "Kai knows. Kai knows about all different types of jewels. We can go to him." Jingfei pointed out. Lin Feng looked over at him. "Do you think he'll know about the different crystals and what they mean?" Lin Feng asked. Jingfei nodded. "Kai recognised the pyrope necklace.' Jingfei stated.

Bambang looked up. "Well, how about this. Chan, Wei, and me and go try and find the other Cinq Masque members. If we can find them and tell them to veto it, then a civil war won't happen. Jingfei, Yang, and Lin Feng go to find Kai and ask if he knows anything about the crystals on your necks. Where's Wei?" bambang asked, looking around teh room. Wei has been gone ever since Jingfei had gotten here. However, with everything else going on, he barely noticed the other's absence.

"Ah Lam's house. He said something about Ah Lam receiving none of his texts or calls." Ying explained. Ah lam? Jingfei recognised that name, but he didn't know where. "Lin Feng, text Kai to see where he is right now." Yang states, standing up. Jingfei and Lin Feng stand up with him. "Meet us back here at three, okay?" Chan stated, looking over at the three vamplings. They all nodded.
