Chapter 90: The Plan

Jingfei didn't know how many times he knocked on the door. Early in the morning, and Kai wasn't exactly an early bird, but that didn't matter too much. "Jingfei, I swear your just going to break the door down." Lin Feng pointed out, leaning on the opposite side of the hall. Yang leaned with him, crossing his arms. "Just call him." Yang sighed, rubbing his head. Jingfei turned around. "He won't answer my calls. He's still kinda mad." Jingfei said sadly.

The door slowly opened, causing all three vamplings to look over. Kai stood in the doorway rubbing his eyes. "At first I thought you were a woodpecker, but then I remember woodpeckers aren't annoying." Kai muttered to himself. He looked behind him to see Yang and Lin Feng. He sighs, looking back at Jingfei. "Can I help you?" He asks with a bored expression.

"Kai we need your help."Jingfei said quickly, bowing to the human his age. Kai was slightly taken aback by Jingfei's bow, but he sighed. As Jingfei looked at Kai, he had worry in his eyes. "You're scared.." Kai said to JIngfei, his bored tone disintegrating into a worried one. "Because I am." Jingfei sighed. Kai continued to stare at him for a moment, before sighing. He opened the door to his apartment, allowing the three vamplings in.

"Sit." Kai muttered, gesturing to the couch. They all did, sitting down. "What's wrong?" Kai asked, shutting the door and leaning on it. Jingfei placed three different crystals onto the table. One was white, with darker marble that had spread throughout the crystal. Another was a river's shade of blue, with perfectly smooth edges that created a heart. And the last one was the shape of almost a water droplet. Blood colored.

Kai looked down at the three rocks. "Do you know anything about them?" Jingfei asked with a hopeful expression. Kai first touched the white rock, sliding his finger along the surface. He look's over at the white-haired boy. "Is this your?" Kai asked calmly. Yang slowly nodded. Kai hummed, looking back down at the stone. "You know this stone forms a Chinese Sun, right?" Kai asked, barely glancing up at Yang before placing the crystal down.

Jingfei looks over. "Your name means sun." Jingfei stated. Yin and Yang. Dark, cold, and dirt. Yang is light, sun, day. Yang slowly nods as Kai picks up the neck rock. The blue tanzanite crystal with small rainbows in it. "Pretty.." Kai said simply, before placing the third rock down. He picked up the last one, analyzing it's curves. "Whoever made these crystals were left handed. And they are very good." Kai says, keeping the pyrope one in his hands.

"Does any of these have in common?" Yang asked, practically leaning on the edge of his seat. Kai scans the jewels once more. He points to the howlite crystal. "They all have one thing in common. They all help the heart and blood circulation." Kai explains. "However, this one specifically is known for it's boost of energy. Long term use of Howlite usually doesn't do much."

Kai then points to tanzanite. "This one boosts energy for long periods of time. Out of the three of these, this one is the strongest." Kai then places Lin Feng's jewel onto the table. "This one is known for lifetime trust. Topaz is known for having total fufillment of life." Kai stated. Jingfei looked at Kai with a confused expression. "Topaz? I thought it was pyrope." Jingfei mumbled. Kai lightly shook his head.

"The one that was on your neck a couple of days ago was Pyrope. However, this is Topaz." Kai pointed out. He pushed the crystals together, before standing up fully. Kai disappears into a back room, leaving the three vamplings alone. "It seems Yuao cared about you more than you thought." Yang sighed. Lin Feng touched the place that his necklace once touched. "He gave me that necklace two years ago, when I first became a vampire. But now, he tried to shoot me in the head."

Jingfei lightly hugs Lin Feng, placing his head on Lin Feng's shoulder. "It's probably because now you hang out with the enemy. Us." Jingfei frowned. Lin Feng sighed, rubbing his eyes slightly. Yang looked over with a frown. "It's okay, Lin Feng. You still have us." Yang said, his frown going to a smile. JIngfei could tell Lin Feng was slightly hurt, but Jingfei could only hug him.

"There are five jewels that are called the Blood Jewels. Howlite, Topaz, Citrine, Tsavorite, and Tanzanite." Kai stated, placing down a beautiful orange crystal. It wasn't cut like the others, but that didn't seem to matter too much. It was still just as stunning. "Tsavorite is the only one I don't have. It's rare, and there isn't many in the worlds. Most have given up trying to find it." Kai explained.

Jingfei looked at the four jewels. "So, in order of what was the strongest.. Which one would be the best?" Jingfei asked, scanning each of the jewels before looking up at Kai. Kai thought silently for a moment before answering. "If we're talking about obtainable, probably Citrine. But technically Tsavorite is known to have the best blood circulation, longest life time, and spiritual powers." Kai explained. Yang crossed his arms, leaning back on the couch. "So then what about Pyrope. Why does it work like the others, but it's not apart of the Blood Jewels?" Yang asks. Kai sighs. "Technically, it is. But a lot of jewels are. However the five I told you guys about are the strongest. Pyrope is the Nokia of jewels." Lin Feng's eyes suddenly widened, before he stood up.

"Yuao has Citrine. I saw it on his desk. All the vampires he controls have pyrope because it's the most basic. He uses it for quantities, not qualities. But you guys, he knew Chan and Wei and Ying would put up a fight, so he used stronger jewels and added mercury to make them even stronger." Lin Feng says just a little too quickly. However Yang understood him perfectly. "So he is going to fight us with Citrine. We're bound to lose." Yang sighed. Kai looked over at them.

"Not if you could somehow find Tsavorite."
