Jingfei knocks softly on Kai's door. It wasn't like how he had done it the last few times, with either pain nor aggression. Instead he knocked faintly, hoping the other was willing to talk to him. It had been a couple of months since Jingfei last saw or heard for Kai. Lin Feng had told him that he was still hurt from Jingfei betraying him, so Jingfei decided to give him a break.

But Jingfei couldn't wait any longer.

The door opened to reveal Kai, with surprisingly nicer clothes on than usual. He still had jeans on with a hoodie, but the collar of a dress shirt stood out on his neck, with a beanie over top of his blond hair. He looked at Jingfei, his blue eyes shining in the new sun. "Aren't you late for school?" Kai asked. Oh, right. School.

Jingfei had decided to go to college. He had taken a gap year after the whole vampire' thing happened, but now he was in college. Studying culinary, ironically. Not like he could eat any of the food he makes, but Bambang always would love a piece of the bread.

"Yeah, I uh. School isn't as important as this." Jingfei shrugged, placing his hands in his pockets. Kai looked at him a certain way, the same way he looked at him before saying 'you're late.' It was a look that made Jingfei smile just barely. Kai smiled with him, stepping aside. "Come in." Kai said kindly.

Jingfei smiled, nodding his head as he walked into the apartment. Jingfei twirled slightly to sit down on the couch, Kai sitting down next to him. "Look, I'm-" "Sorry?" Kai cuts Jingfei off, looking at him. He still had a smile. "I told you not to ever say sorry to me. There's no reason." Kai smiled, nudging Jingfei's shoulder. Jingfei smiled. "Still. You deserve it." Jingfei mumbled.

Kai leaned back on the couch, looking over at Jingfei. :"Your with Lin Feng? Had a feeling you two would get together." Kai smiled. Jingfei looked back. A frown appearing on his face. Didn't Kai like Lin Feng? Wouldn't that make him mad, or jealous, or something?! "Are you.. Mad at me?" Jingfei asked honestly. Kai gave him a weird look of confusion. Jingfei decided to elaborate.

"You liked Lin Feng, right? Is that one of the reasons you were mad at me?" Jingfei asked. Kai looked even more confused. He looked at Jingfei for a moment with a lost expression, before beginning to laugh. Jingfei stood silent, confused as to why Kai would be laughing. "But. you told me that you liked someone…" Jingfei mumbled.

Kai slowly gained his composure, wiping his eyes. "You're right," Kai says in between giggles. "I do like someone, but I didn't like LIn Feng." Kai said, before beginning to laugh again. Jingfei was quiet for a moment, before asking a question. "So then… who did you like?" Jingfei asked. Kai sighed, sitting up straight. Kai sucked in a breath as Jingfei listened, anticipating a shocking answer.

"You."

Oh…. ohh….OHHH. "You liked me? Why?" Jingfei asked, a weird expression on his face. Kai sighed, looking out the window. "Are you asking what traits you had that I found attractive?" Kai asked seriously, the giggles in his voice gone. Jingfei silently shrugged. "Uh.. I'm asking… why didn't you tell me?" Jingfei asked. He wouldn't say he never had feelings for Kai, because that wouldn't be true. He didn't have feeling for the blond. But then the Kai being framed thing happened, and then them not talking much afterwards, it couldn't blossom into young love. Not the way his and Lin Feng's did.

"Was I supposed to. When you came into my apartment and looked through my clothes, did you see the look you gave me. The look that said you didn't even want to look at me. You weren't disgusted, no, you were hurt. And I wanted to make you feel better, but I didn't even know what happened." Kai sighed. Jingfei stayed quiet, listening to Kai's words. He stayed quiet for a moment. "Did… are you okay with me dating Lin Feng?"

Kai smiled, looking over at JIngfei. "Should I not be? You two look cute together, plus you finally put the dog on a leash. And, saying this with the sweetest part of my heart, I'm over you." Kai sighed, patting Jingfei's head. Jingfei swatted away his head. "Are you still working at Sweet Serve?" Jingfei used to work the night shifts with Lin Feng, but recently, he had started to do the day shifts. Seeing the sunrise and watching morning customers come in.

Kai nodded. "Yeah, but mostly part time. Yi Na said I should stop working so much, and I think she was right." Kai rolled out his shoulders before beginning to stand. JIngfei watched him casually. "Kai, can we please hang out again. Either during work or out of work, I don't care. I miss having my friend." Jingfei mumbled. Kai scoffed, before sighing, noting the serious look on Jingfei's face.

"Fine. But only if you're not late."
